<p>Seasonal rates is what the RV owner community often refers to as the practice of raising rates in the months where there is greater demand. The most popular seasons for camping varies from region to region, but in the US the typical busy season lasts from Memorial Day to Labor Day. An RV owner might lower their prices during the winter when demand is lower.</p>

<p><span>Someone who signs up at Outdoorsy.com. Members can sign up directly by email, Facebook, Google, or indirectly by starting an RV listing and providing their email address.</span></p>

<p><span>A booking request indicates that a renter is interested in renting your RV. Requests will include a quick summary of the trip including dates, destination and estimated mileage. From there, owners are encouraged to approve the request quickly or ask the renter questions for more information. A booking request does not guarantee a rental, it&#8217;s the first step in finding a great match between owner and renter.</span></p>

<p><span>Additional drivers may be added to the trip if they are verified drivers within the system. For a driver to be verified, they must also upload a photo of their drivers license. This can be done from within a single Outdoorsy account. The person whose name is on the Outdoorsy account must be a verified driver, as the additional driver cannot be the only verified driver for the trip. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-weight: 400">There are many different services that owners offer at an extra price. Cleaning fees, pet fees, additional camping gear, surfboards, bicycles, and delivery fees are just a few examples of additional services that owners like to add. The best way to charge for those is to create <a href="https://go.outdoorsy.com/host-marketplace" target="_blank" rel="noopener">add-ons to your listing</a>. You can make these add-ons selectable during the checkout process or you can make them mandatory on each booking.&nbsp;</span></p>

<ol><li><span style="font-weight: 400">Select the applicable listing by clicking on listings at the top of your owner dashboard. </span><br></li><li><span style="font-weight: 400">On the left-hand side of your screen, select Add-ons </span>.<br></li><li><span style="font-weight: 400">Click on “Add new Add-on”</span><br></li><li><span style="font-weight: 400">Create a name and description for your add-on, a price and whether it will be a daily charge, a required charge and or paid upon return. </span><br></li><li><span style="font-weight: 400">Press on save add-on. </span></li></ol>



<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Your add on will now appear at the bottom of your listing so that renters can take a look at the extras you offer!&nbsp;</span></p>

<p class="has-normal-font-size">You can unpublish your stay listing right now or block your calendar so that no further bookings can be made through Outdoorsy. Outdoorsy will unpublish your stay listings end of July 2024 automatically.</p>



<h3><strong>Does this affect my RV listings in my account as well?</strong></h3>



<p>No, this will only affect listings that have been listed as a stay</p>



<h3><strong>What do I do when I have a booking for my Stay with a check-in date that departs after October 1st 2024</strong></h3>



<p>You will have to cancel the booking and rebook the guest if possible outside of Outdoorsy</p>



<h3><strong>Should I expect a tax from Outdoorsy for stay bookings in 2024?</strong></h3>

<h3><strong>I have a stationary camper listed as a stay. Can I list this as an RV on the Outdoorsy RV marketplace and continue bookings? </strong></h3>

<p>You&#8217;ve booked an RV and are getting stoked for your camping vacation &#8211; hooray!<br><br>Now, let&#8217;s say you want to change your payment method after you&#8217;ve booked your trip. No problemo. Depending on when your trip departs, different charges, like the security deposit, can occur at different times. <br><br>As a result, you may want to update the payment method associated with your reservation. Here&#8217;s how to do that:</p>

How do I update my payment method?


<p>Roamly has partnered with Sensible to provide a product that allows you to purchase coverage for the duration of your trip and be able to receive a refund in the event of bad weather.</p>



<p>Available in the U.S. only, for all RVs, this additional Roamly Weather Coverage provides protection for your trip in the event of unexpected bad weather. Possible coverage is based on information from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).</p>



<p>For example, if it rains more than the amount quoted (based on the NOAA day-of-forecast), then Sensible will automatically provide a refund to you, based on the current weather at the location of your trip.</p>



<p>When you initially purchase coverage from Roamly Weather, you will see some basic information outlining your coverage and its parameters:</p>



<p><strong><em>What to expect:</em></strong></p>



<p><em>A forecasted &#8220;light rain&#8221; of 1.5 mm, or more, for 3+ hours will trigger the daily coverage. We&#8217;ll alert you if bad weather is on the horizon. Don&#8217;t worry, we&#8217;ll only text you if it&#8217;s important &#8211; aka you have money available.          Light rain is when you walk outside, and the ground looks like it&#8217;s been raining, think small puddles. </em></p>

<p><em>3 &#8211; 6 hours of rain = $51.93/day                                                                                                                                               6+ hours of rain = $103.86/day</em></p>

<h3><strong>How do I purchase Roamly Weather Coverage?</strong></h3>



<p>Weather Coverage is offered when you make your reservation online for any stationary RV bookings where the RV is delivered and set up at a destination, or for campsite bookings, because the service requires an address to calculate the coverage.</p>



<p>You will also be able to purchase Weather Coverage after your booking is confirmed, from the Trips details page in your account.</p>



<p><strong>Note!</strong> Roamly weather coverage can only be quoted and purchased for trips that are less than three months long.</p>



<h3><strong>Is Roamly Weather Coverage the same as Trip Protection?</strong></h3>



<p>No, Roamly Weather Coverage is a separate offering from both Trip Protection and Damage Protection.</p>



<h3><strong>How is the covered amount determined?</strong></h3>



<p>The covered amount is based on the total cost of your booking when coverage is purchased.&nbsp;</p>



<h3><strong>How long do I have to purchase coverage?</strong></h3>



<p>Roamly Weather Coverage is available for purchase up until the day before your trip begins. If your trip starts today, you will not be able to purchase coverage.&nbsp;</p>



<h3><strong>What happens if I change the dates of my trip?</strong></h3>



<p>Because coverage is based on a specific date range and forecast, if you change the dates of your trip then your Roamly Weather Coverage will be removed and need to be repurchased for your new trip dates.&nbsp;</p>



<h3><strong>Can I cancel my Weather Coverage?</strong></h3>



<p>You have 24 hours after the purchase of Roamly Weather Coverage to cancel it. After 24 hours have passed, then coverage will not be able to be removed without canceling the booking.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Note!</strong> If Roamly Weather Coverage is added within 14 days of your booking&#8217;s start date, then the option to remove the coverage will not be available.&nbsp;</p>



<h3><strong>What happens to my coverage if my booking is canceled?</strong></h3>



<p>If the booking is canceled prior to departure, then the entire cost of Roamly Weather Coverage will be refunded to you.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Note!</strong> If the booking is canceled on, or after, departure then Roamly Weather Coverage will be nonrefundable.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Although all Outdoorsy guests can use our 24/7 Contact Center, your Campground team knows the most about the campground, Sites, how to get around, and fun things to do nearby. If guests reach out to you, you can find them by looking up their name or booking dates in your PMS.&nbsp;</p>


What are Campgrounds on Outdoorsy


<p>Every year, thousands of people converge on Nevada’s Black Rock Desert for the annual Burning Man festival. There, “artists, makers, and community organizers who co-create art, events, and local initiatives around the world” gather to celebrate and construct the sizeable—yet temporary—Black Rock City. Over the nine-day festival, the makeshift city is built, celebrations abound, the famous wooden statute is set ablaze, and then the city is disassembled.</p>



<p>While this can be an interesting way to spend your vacation, it can also wreak havoc on your RV. In all the excitement, some festival-goers may go a little too far and your property may get damaged or vandalized. More common, an ultra-fine dust gets kicked up in the wind and coats anything in sight.</p>



<h2>Playa dust</h2>



<p>The Black Rock Desert is the site of a long lost, prehistoric lake bed and the desert playa (or just ‘playa’) is the bottom of it. The playa dries out, cracks, and creates a unique, ultra-fine dust—playa dust—that the festival is often associated with. As you might imagine, this dust can get into even the cranniest of nooks.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Festival-goers try to beat the dust by taping air vents, seams, and windows. Some cover furniture with plastic and others even wax the outside of the RV. But, playa dust is sure to get in and when it does, it is difficult to clean from the interior and exterior of your RV. It can even damage your electrical and mechanical systems.</p>



<h2>Insurance coverage</h2>



<p>Because of the damage that playa dust can do to your RV and the increased risk of physical damage on the festival grounds, Burning Man remains an unauthorized festival in Outdoorsy’s terms of service. As a result, Outdoorsy insurance does not provide coverage for your RV on the festival grounds nor does it cover festival-related damage. That includes damage from playa dust to the interior, exterior, anything mechanical or electrical, or vandalism.</p>



<p>If your RV goes to Burning Man, Outdoorsy offers liability-only coverage to and from the festival to ensure your RV is road legal. But, if your RV is involved in a covered loss and your guest is at fault: your RV is not covered, only other peoples’ damaged property is covered. In addition, our liability-only coverage is provided at the state minimum level of coverage.</p>



<p>Outdoorsy’s Burning Man policy also means that our teams can only provide limited support in disputes you may have with your guest. In addition, if your guest is traveling from abroad, you will most likely be unable to collect on damages through small claims court. Candidly, if your RV goes to Burning Man, collecting for damages to your RV will be between you and your guest.</p>



<p>We understand that our Burning Man insurance policy may give you pause in accepting bookings headed for the festival. That’s okay! It’s your vehicle and you can do as you wish.
