When we contacted the host to set up time to pickup we were told they probably would not be around just hook up and go. We should have made sure someone was there. We did not have any instructions as to what was expected or for the host to point out any possible issues with the camper prior to us leaving. Host did tell us prior to pickup that the battery was dead but as long as the camper was hooked to the truck or to power everything would work OK. When we got to our destination, the slide would not come out. I contacted host and ask him to call. We did not have his phone number only way to correspond was through the Outdoorsy messaging system. Before he responded, we figured out to hook the camper back up to the truck and finally got the slide out. I also advised him that the camper was dirty and the pocket door does not work. He said he paid to have the camper cleaned and it looked fine to him. He knew about the door. Found out later that the hot water heater did not work either. The listing showed a TV would be included, there was no TV in the camper. Listing also showed tow hitch but when we ask he did not have one available.
When we returned the camper, again no one there for drop off. When we completed the trip on Outdoorsy we realized the host had deducted $121 from the $500 deposit stating the septic not emptied. We did empty the septic prior to returning. When we contacted the host he said we may have emptied it but we did not clean it out. It would have been nice to have had those instructions before we returned it. We contacted Outdoorsy and registered a complaint. Outdoorsy refunded the $121. Thank you Outdoorsy for making this right!
