This renter did not like the camping pads, inflatable pillows, and did not have enough blankets. I could have given him more sleeping gear but he never said anything until his trip was over. I would have been willing to bring him other gear. Renters can choose sleeping pads or inflatable mattress w/ pillows from now on. I prefer the pads.

Logan was a great host. Very responsive. Old car but really nice to have a large 4x4 (especially in Polihale). The camping gear included everything we needed. Very easy drop off at the airport.

Thanks for booking. The truck is less than a 10 minute drive away from the airport so the best option is to prearrange a Lyft or Uber to the location. Lihue airport strictly prohibits rental vehicles to be parked at the airport, but the truck is very close by in Lihue.

Logan’s Element was great, as described, and Logan was a helpful and responsive host. He provided a very workable setup for a camping trip. Some of the camping equipment was in poor or worn condition, and some needed to be cleaned after previous renters. But Logan assisted when we asked, and all in all the rental was a good value and a very fun experience.

You can’t do a trip to Kauai cheaper than this, camping permits are only about $5/day and this vehicle comes with everything you need. Plus, it ran great and took us all around the island without any problems. Of course, it’s not a new car so don’t expect a new car. Definitely 5 stars for functionality and we loved that in the “kitchen” box there were a few odds and ends like plastic ware, paper plates, and dish soap, all of which we would not have wanted to buy an entire pack of. Logan was super responsive, car pick up and drop off was easy and we would totally do this again.

Truck was perfect for camping and exploring Kauai. Me and my family had an awesome time. I highly recommend. Logan is super responsive and helpful as well.
