We had a fabulous weekend at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort! Thanks to Once Upon a Camper, my kids were able to experience camping for the first time. Perhaps glamping is a better term because this camper had everything we needed and then some. My kids (ages 10 and 6) were excited by the bunk beds (be sure to look for those special hidden Mickeys)! The camper had plenty of room for us to spread out and not feel cramped. The kitchen was fully stocked and ready for us.Manny and Laura are fantastic to rent from. As soon as we had our campsite number we reached out to them and they confirmed our arrival time and ensured us that the camper would be set up when we arrived. They did not disappoint. We were welcomed with everything set up and ready for us to drop our bags and relax. They gave us a quick tour of the camper inside and out and made sure we knew how to maintain the camper over the weekend. Don't worry if you miss any of the information, they have a wonderful book with all the details you will need about the camper including how to work the stove, where to find a broom, and how to flush out the water as needed. They really did think of everything.If you're thinking of renting for a stay at Fort Wilderness be sure to inquire about the fire pit they have available to rent. Fort Wilderness if very specific about which fire pits they will allow at the sites and the Gonzalez's have the perfect Disney approved (and easy to use) fire pit. Other campers were stopping by to ask about where we got it because they were jealous and wanted one for themselves. My kids were spoiled with fire roasted s'mores three nights in a row and they were in heaven.We also had some fun friends stop by to visit while we were camping. My kids were excited to have wild turkeys and squirrels stopping by to visit before moving along to the next site.When it was time for us to depart, we found simple step by step instructions on one to do to before vacating the camper. Even clean up was a breeze because they have everything you need right there.If you're looking for a rental in central Florida, this is your camper! We can't wait to rent again.
