Larry and the van were great! Larry was super communicative and flexible and the van was in great shape and had plenty of room for our family of four (including 8 & 13 year old boys). Having a solar powered exhaust fan, refrigerator, lights, and charging ports was huge as we stayed at primitive campsites for over a week and never ran out of power (even when parked at a full shade site for multiple days). The beds were large and comfortable and the van was well designed and easy to drive. We met up with multiple friends who had Sprinter vans on our trip and they all said they wished they opted for the window flares that we had when they built their vans out (they make it easy for people who are over 6 feet tall to sleep sideways in the van, freeing up a lot of space). Definitely reach out to Larry if you are interested in a camper van trip in Southern California - I'd recommend him and his van to anyone!

Larry Cambra is the perfect Outdoorsy host: Friendly, Punctual, Professional, and Helpful. This host was easy to communicate with and responsive, which was required due to the first Outdoorsy host botching the pickup and costing us a day of our camping adventure.
Larry's beautifully customize Ford Transit, aka "FLOYD" saved our 5-day camping vacation in Joshua Tree. Easy to drive and park - this was our home base as we explored the Desert and the National Park. It got a lot of looky-loos everytime we pulled in where other people were - I couldn't answer any technical questions about the solar panels expertly installed on the roof or the kind of bike rack/gate on the back door or the birch flooring and upper bedding buildouts - but other van people definitely snuck peeks every time we parked.

rented this awesome van for a three day trip out to Julian just me and my son and our bikes. Major bonus is the built-in cooler and solar power. If you want something really easy to drive and practical and amazing looking, this is it.

Floyd is well equipped with everything we needed for a fantastic camping weekend and Larry was so great to work with throughout the process. You can tell he is passionate about this van and making sure our experience was a good one. From pick up to drop off Larry gave us simple instructions and made everything really easy. Floyd was clean and we could tell the van is well taken care of. It had all the comforts we were looking for and we loved the ability to use the WiFi and work from our laptops in the morning before heading out for a surf. The swivel front seat w flip down desk was so convenient. The bed is comfortable and the refrigerator cooler was a big plus. I have already booked another trip in Floyd!

Great Van! Smooth ride. The owner did a great job with upgrades to the van. My wife and I took our 2 kids camping for 5 days. Plenty of sleeping space and comfortable. The van has solar, which powers the refrigerator and plenty of outlets for charging electronics. Bike and surfboard racks were convenient. The owner was very knowledgeable and always available. I would highly recommend!!!!

Amazing experience! It was our first time renting a camper van and before we left, Larry made us feel super confident in driving/navigating it. He was very kind and patient, responsive when I called. The setup was perfect for our family and we can’t wait to rent the Lloyd van again!!!
