To those reading this review, remember there are always two sides to a story. If you ever have any questions, please send me a message. To keep our motorhome safe and clean, and provide a fast turnaround time for the next renters, we do ask that the motorhome is clean upon return. Cleaning responsibilities are written in the Outdoorsy post, on the rental agreement, and on checklists kept in a binder within the motorhome. All renters are subject to the same responsibilities and fees, which are detailed in our SRA, and sent over a week ahead of the rental for all renters to review and ask questions. We believe that having detailed expectations is best for both the renter and the owner, so that no one is left in the dark.Unfortunately, there will be times where the renter and owner disagree upon the state of the motorhome upon return. This is where it is important to have photos. We always submit photos of the motorhome condition to Outdoorsy on the day of rental pickup, and then again the day that the motorhome is dropped off. Drop off inspection can take up to 2 hours, and cannot start until the motorhome is empty of all of the renter's items. If you as the renter choose not to stay for inspection, or arrive later than the agreed upon drop off time, you forfeit your ability to take part in the drop off inspection. We don't expect the motorhome to return exactly the way it was when it left. However, there are fees for items that are damaged during your trip, that will need to be replaced. Yes, we charge a fee if pet hair is found in the motorhome (no pets allowed). Out of kindness, I did not charge the $300 deep cleaning fee, which is listed in our agreement (and signed by renter) for any evidence of pets.Unfortunately the renter felt that the motorhome was clean, but there were hairs in the bathroom sink and toilet, smelly food in the sink drain and the strainers, coffee grounds all over the counter and in a dirty coffee maker, dirty stove top, a soaking wet dinette chair, wet beds and windows from being left open during a storm, leaking trash bags that stained our entry rug and left liquid all over the steps (left there the entire 2 hour return drive), and black pet hair covering the bed and pillows. We are honest people, and take any deductions from security deposits seriously. Because we did not have before photos of the dinette cushion without the cover on or the wood seat underneath, I did not charge for the cost to repair the warped wood from the soaked dinette cushion.I assure you, as a renter, you will know of any potential fees in DETAIL ahead of time, and lines of communication are always open. We want you to be confident in renting from us, and to have a safe, enjoyable vacation!
