Richard was very easy to deal with and the bus was exactly as promised. Used it to take my soccer team to a tournament for a few days and had zero issues. Pick-up and drop-off was super smooth and easy. Kids loved the upgraded stereo system!!! Definitely will look to do this again for future tournaments!

Perfect rental IF you accept it for what it is...a huge vehicle to haul around your friends/family and their stuff at a great value. It's not the newest or cleanest vehicle out there, but that is part of the beauty of this rig. We had an AMAZING time driving from San Jose to Oakdale for a day of river rafting. I even set up karaoke on the bus! Mechanically the bus performed flawlessly. It's quite easy to drive and surprisingly had power to spare when climbing hills.

Like Richard says, this 94 Aljo is "good for being old". Almost everything worked, and either we or Richard figured out workarounds for stuff that didn't. Also, Richard apparently only acquired the Aljo a month or two earlier (so Mar-Apr 2018) and is still getting her in shape, so by the time you rent her everything will probably work perfectly - and the price might be a bit higher. The rig towed easily with our 99 4Runner and electric brakes helped (needs a 7-pin connector and some kind of brake controller), the only thing we wished we had was extended mirrors to see around the thing.Richard himself was very easy to deal with, and pro-active - he called us when he checked out the unit and warned us that the refrigerator wasn't working, offered to buy ice or make it up to us somehow. Turned out it didn't work on propane but worked fine (if anything too cold) on electricity, so once we got electrical hookup we were set. And he lent us a generator no charge in case anything went wrong while we were "boondocking". Best part of the interaction for us is he was very flexible on pick up and dropoff times, since the unit is stored on a farm and either Richard or his friend can arrange to be there almost any time given enough notice.

Was my first time using an RV and Richard was kind enough to show me how it's done, and keep an open line for any of my questions which he helped answer promptly even when I was at the campground. The RV itself was in great shape and well worth the effort to keep my young son comfortable and happy. I've already rebooked!

Let me start off by saying what a pleasure it was working with Richard. The toy hauler was ready to go while he worked with us about a scheduled time, pick up and drop off. Richard was very detailed and thorough about the operations of his TH. He took his time and I didn't feel rushed at all. Answered all questions with no need for assumptions. Everything was in good working order. It would be an honor to rent from Richard again in the future. Very upstanding owner.
