This was my very first rental of any RV, as well as my maiden voyage as the Responsible Party. I was pleased to have a new vehicle since it minimized any concerns of mechanical failures, which I would not be qualified to diagnose. Also, my trip was into the rural area of north Alabama near Bankhead National Forest. I went 50 miles without seeing a gas station, or even a convenience store. So keeping tabs on the gas was a concern of mine. Paul had a notebook with the steps of set up and take down itemized. I was running the generator since my destination had no hook-ups and no facilities. This RV is totally self contained, perfect choice for my power requirements, and had plenty of room for three mature adults. I am what you'd call "elderly" and I had no issues with the size of the vehicle, once I got the feel of it on the road. I've always been a good driver, and in fact enjoy driving. It handles well, and has super storage capacity inside and beneath. I can see that off-grid locations with 10 people on board there might be an issue with tank water supply and the need for black water pump outs, but with only three people, in a rural location, we managed outdoor showers from a water spigot where we set up. It was quite hot in May, so exposure to the cold was far from being an issue. Not having experience with newer features of this RV, I must say it does a lot. The fact is, my cousins and I talked to one another, sat outdoors to watch the bats flying after bugs, and did not turn on a single one of the 3 TVs on the RV. There is a TV built in outdoors, another biggie mounted on a swing arm above the cab cockpit inside, and a small one for the bunk room outside the bathroom. The backup camera worked like a champ the two times I employed its use, since I had wide open spaces to avoid backing! The generator was super quiet, hard to hear it running in fact. I kept it running from the moment I set up the RV, until the moment I checked all items secure to depart.A couple of times I called Paul, who was quick to answer the phone, or text me back, not with a problem, but with identifying a switch to turn something on. Like lighting the propane gas range. The 110 volt power plugs in the galley were conveniently located so I plugged in my rice cooker and the coffee pot, and ended up not using the range. We had plenty of food available precooked on board, and we attended a dinner on the grounds at the church where we parked. LOTS of food. I did not use other 110 power plugs but noticed two others in the bunk room and the back stateroom.Incidentally, I did not use the leveling system, since we were sitting in a quite level site, and the RV did not bounce or sway from movement of people inside. And, my cousin who was 6'2" and about 220 lbs, was a good test of the RV's stability. I also did not roll out the awning, since there was a nice breeze and afternoon shade from tall trees adjacent to the parking lot.We had a great time. Our experience with the RV was a pleasant one. We enjoyed our trip. Altogether, I put about 700 miles on the vehicle as its only driver. Not a long distance but a nice stretch for a few days rental. Somewhere I got a nail in one tire, and a slow leak occurred, which was repaired by Paul on my return. It was a good first experience on the road.
