Acerca de James Spiroff
Hello I'm James. I have been camping, off-roading and exploring for over 30 years in all kinds of vehicles from my 1972 VW Sportmobile, Ford Explorer overlander, to my current off grid offroader, my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. "Phil" my 2022 Thor RIse Pop top Class B van has been seeing lots of adventures. We just added our 37 foot Spree travel trailer to the mix and is permanently set up at Skeenah Creek Campground in Suches Ga. nestled in the north Georgia mountains. I have extensive camping and RVing experience so don't be afraid to ask me anything.

The van was great, super clean, very well stocked, easy to drive, and James was easy to work with. Main bed very comfortable. Pop too kinda tight, ok for two kids/small teens maybe. The skylight doesn’t completely close which adds quite a bit of noise when driving, but James said the manufacturer is supposed to fix that. We didn’t use the kitchen except the microwave and fridge. Only downsides were mainly due to the Outdoorsy platform/site: 1) required insurance was not clearly disclosed, overpriced and the site defaults to the overpriced “mid-priced” option, which feels like a scam; 2) excess mileage charge of 45 cents/mile over 100 miles per day was not clearly disclosed. If I had known about these extra changes I might have passed. Of course once you’ve gone through the trouble of picking out a vehicle and completing all the info and booking it seems like a big hassle to try to cancel for charges not clearly or prominently disclosed. I complained to the site and they claim it’s all disclosed in the fine print but they really should do better. Everyone hates hidden fees. I am not sure I’d use this site again unless and until they fix those issues. Even AirBnB and StubHub clearly disclose all fees so you know how much you’re really spending before you commit.

fantastic trip! everything was perfect nad the van made it all possible. Just great. Will be back, and hope to travel again with Phil, the Van.

We had the most wonderful trip, exploring Florida, with "Phil". James was easy to work with and kind. "Phil" was immaculate and had everything we needed, while still allowing us to park in downtown areas with ease. We would love to book with James again in the future.

Excellent vehicle with basically all amenities you would need, minus a bathroom. Drives like a dream. Easy to operate and comfortable to stay in. The owner was helpful and communicative whenever needed.

James and "Phil" were amazing. After a very thorough explanation of how everything worked in the camper, James sent us on our way. We did have a few questions while on the road, and James replied back immediately. We felt very honored to be their first guests. The camper van drove like a regular car and handled beautifully. It came equipped with everything we could possibly need on a long weekend camping trip. We brought our bikes and an inflatable paddleboard. We camp regularly so were prepared to pack light. I could see where storage would be a problem for those bringing big ol suitcases. The stove and water pump made cooking easy. James suggested taking the mattress from the top bunk and stack the mattresses. This made sleeping extra cozy. It was really nice having our bikes and board with us. Saved us the money of having to rent them. All in all the cost of the trip came to equal what we would have paid renting a car, booking an air bnb, and renting our toys!!! This was our first rv renting and what a great little adventure it was. Phil, we will be booking you again asap!!
P.S. Really glad we rented the patio package!! We spent so much time outside and the chairs and rug were bonuses.
