Recuerdos de viajes con las caravanas de David Spates

Struggled with deciding which star rating to use, 2 or 3.
We were able to complete the trip, and we had a good time.
However:
Communication prior to pickup was minimal. We asked if there were any special procedures/information we needed prior to the trip - none were received.
Pickup location is not what is stated in the listing. Owner has moved to Decatur TX despite listing still saying Rhome.
Trailer is no longer a 5th wheel but has been converted to gooseneck. Had to remove my 5th wheel hitch and install my gooseneck at pickup (thank goodness I could do that).
45 minutes into the trip, passenger side rear tire on the trailer blew out (caused significant cosmetic damage to the trailer). There was no spare. Contacted owner, found out that the tire that blew WAS the spare (and probably old). Waited 4 hours on the side of a busy highway for service. (Had to call Outdoorsy service twice because they "lost" the ticket the first time). Asked tech to check the other 3 tires - all 3 were low on pressure, 2 by at least 20 psi.
Arrived state park 4 hours late, minutes before the gate was locked for the night. Had to park and do minimal setup in the dark (which I'm sure endeared us to the other campers trying to sleep). No manual or written instructions with the trailer. Front a/c not working - found out (called the owner near midnight) that it requires an additional/separate power cord (see previous comment about no response to 'special procedures' question). Finished set up and levelling the next morning - smelled urine outside - discovered black water dump valves and gray water dump valve had all been left open.
Other listing discrepancies:
"Coffee pot" is in fact a single service pod machine -2 or 3 pods provided.
"Cooking utensils" consisted of a single frying pan and a few hand tools (ladle, pancake turner, etc.)
"Cups and dishes" were not present at all.
We didn't need or use the stove/oven, but did notice that one of the burners was loose/disconnected and laying inside the cook top.
Still, we were able to complete the trip and had an enjoyable time. The night sky at the park where we stayed is stunning with the Milky Way clearly visible. We drove to town Saturday morning and bought our own paper plates, cups, and a real coffee pot.
Both A/C's worked well and kept the interior comfortable even in 105 degree heat outside (although one of them did just once leak quite a bit of condensation inside on the floor). Every issue we encountered could have been easily solved or avoided had the listing been accurate (change of location and change of hitch type), had tire pressures and conditions been checked prior to pickup, equipment inventory verified (spare tire, jack, dishes, cups), and written instructions/manuals/procedures provided inside the unit. This was our very first experience renting through Outdoorsy so we are unaware of what policies or 'standards of performance' they have in place with the owners who rent through them. We would have been happy to had provided our own coffee pot, dishes, and cups if we had known we were going to need to.

David does a nice job of having everything in nice working order and clean. He is easy to work with. Definitely would rent his camper again.
