Whatever big blue lacks, it makes up for it 10 folds in character! We explored Kauai with Big Blue and it now has a special place in our hearts. It is by faaar the best way and most unique way to explore Kauai, and camp out at the state camps. So comfortable, sooo spacious, and mostly, a stunner! Everyone will be stopping you to ask you about it. We love it!

We had a few technical issues. Some offered things like functional fridge and electricity didnt work out. Anyhow, the host was very friendly and cooperative. We had a good time and the host really tried its best so that we had a great vacation.

We had an absolutely wonderful time. This is the best way to visit the island and enjoy a camping experience. David was such gracious host - very easy to work with and accommodating.

Unsafe condition of tires for driving on roads. Vehicle is not in the condition as advertised and functions of the vehicle were not working including air conditioning. Host did not bring up any concerns when I dropped off vehicle and returned full security deposit. After requesting a refund for returning rental van early due to unsafe tire conditions, and inconvenience of van functions (sliding door hardly opens) the host decided to claim damages to van to offset return value. Host does not keep van or assets include in van/rental in good condition. Host requests to message off of Outdoorsy platform. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

This review was written by someone that continually tried to cancel his trip before he came and then returned Big Blue early to try to get a refund by complaining. He did not even know Big Blue was on the island of Kauai and his claims have been proven as lies.To address the false claims: first, safety is our #1 concern and the tires had been checked and even replaced recently. I have visual pictures of the damage this renter caused as well as the proof for not returning Big Blue with Diesel filled. I offered kindly to waive the re-fueling fee and airport fees only in good faith but he just wanted money. The AC is functioning and Big Blue is an '07 that has seen miles and wear and tear - all normal in a beauty at her age and this renter was complaining as a ploy to cancel and get money back, which they failed to do once Outdoorsy knew the facts. Finally, I ask renters to message me and my partner via text to best coordinate dropoff and pickup as it is much easier to text/call to arrange - this is not a ploy to get off Outdoorsy messaging.

My trip to Kauai was amazing and that was only enabled with the RV that took me around the island. It was everything I needed and more. Blake and David are great hosts and would recommend them to anyone in a heart beay

Big Blue was a great vacation choice. We've traveled plenty with home rentals and hotels but this was a better way to enjoy the natural beauty of Kauai. Blake's recommendations on places to camp was great, and with finding several private campgrounds we had a good blend of local spots, hot showers, and secluded places. We hiked in the Kokee mountains, the Northern Na'pali coast, and everywhere in between. We snorkeled the best beaches (in order) Ke'e, Tunnels and Anini. Blue was a great transport to helicopter tours through Air Kauai, and a coast tour through Holo Holo Charters - snorkeling off the coasts of Na'pali, and Lehua Ni'ihau. We had everything we needed to make a few home made meals and sleep off the sun drenched (and several rain drenched) days. Strongly recommend Big Blue's owners for their communication, advise, and honesty. Mahalo!
