The vehicle was everything we expected it to be and Ty went out of his way to make our trip good. If you're used to V-8 power don't do this rental. But if you enjoy the challenge of coaxing a classic van through the mountains and know how to work a gearbox this van can't be beat. Sleeping was tight but extremely comfortable for 4 adults including a 6'4" man. The ride was comfortable with great views of all the wildlife we saw. You'll have to be ready to answer many questions about the van because every where we stopped someone wanted to share a "Westy" story with us. We averaged 16-18 mpg which was great in my view considering the hills we were climbing every day. So if life in the slow lane suits you by all means rent this van. I know we'll be back.
