Hello! My name is Abbie. I am a Maine native that loves the outdoors. A few years ago I bought a van and lived in it full time while working in Bar Harbor, ME. Life has given me the chance to be able to share the vanlife experience with others! While it is not for everyone, it is always an adventure.

We absolutely adored our Vandolf experience. It was well equipped, clean and compact enough to easily navigate traffic and parking. Pick up and drop off was seamless and Abbie was very responsive. The only thing we didn't like was giving it back! Would 100% rent this van again :)

Vandalf was an absolute dream! Abbie was so sweet, extremely easy to communicate with, and has really stocked the van with everything you might want or need on a van trip. We just did five days with this van and everything went perfectly. Really couldn’t have been more comfortable. Beautiful sink for dishes or hand washing, two fans (always better than one!), easy-to-use lighting, the fridge/freezer was a huge luxury, did not feel cramped in the bed, and PLENTY of storage space underneath the bed too, for extra bags of clothing and/or camping gear, etc. We will miss our home away from home!!

We had a great time exploring Acadia National park in Abbie’s van. This was our first time using a camper van and Abbie was excellent in communicating the “how to” even with videos. The van is cozy and easy to maneuver.

My wife and I visited Bar Harbor, Maine and Halifax, Nova Scotia in Abbie's van for 7 days. We picked her van for its compactness and drivability. The van is tastefully set up and functional. The bed is large enough with complete set of beddings. The amenities are more than adequate and easy to operate. Abbie stocked the van with camping essentials, such as coffee grinder, camp chairs and, importantly, extra blankets for those cool fall nights.

Abbie was an amazing host and was so great to have as a resource throughout our trip to Maine. Our trip was for an elopement which Abbie went out of her way to help us celebrate by decorating the van for my wife and I. The van is gorgeous and exactly what we were hoping for during our trip. Would recommend to anyone wishing to enjoy their time in Maine.

This was our first time trying the ‘van life’ and we had a phenomenal time in Acadia. Vandalf was super spacious & comfy, easy to drive and had all the standard amenities and equipment needed for camping. Abbie was very responsive throughout and also flexible with check-in and check-out times. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

We are new to van camping, so we had NO IDEA what to expect. It was super easy and made our trip to Acadia so much fun. We loved having all our stuff “with us” all the time…no need to go back to the hotel to change clothes for the next activity. We would just go back to the parking area to have a snack or another cup of coffee, refill the water bottles, etc and then head out again for another hike or activity without leaving the park. And because it is petite compared to other RVs and campers, it was very easy to drive and park…no problems at all. We would definitely do this again!

Our trip was great! We camped with Vandalf in Blackwood Campground and really loved staying in the van. Abbie was super responsive, answered all questions and the van was very clean and well set up when we arrived. Would highly recommend!

Thank you, Abbie for a wonderful trip! We spend a long weekend in Acadia and Vandalf was perfect for me, my boyfriend, and our dog. Abbie has truly provided every amenity we imagined. Definitely spend some time looking through the cabinets and getting to know the van because what you need is probably already there! Abbie was a clear communicator and gave us great tips for our trip. Would absolutely recommend and stay in Vandalf again!

Abbie is great and getting back to you and will also give you good suggestions about where to go when you are in Maine. Sleeping was very comfortable with a very solid memory foam mattress. It was 40 one night we were there and it was plenty warm without needing a heater. In fact, we had the two fans running to circulate air. There are extra blankets if needed which we didn't because it is obvious the van is very well insulated. Abbie gives you plenty of supplies for cooking and don't forget to check the fridge because she stocks it with some condiments you may need. She provides a boiling pot(not sure what you call it) but it plugs in and boils water quickly. This van made our trip to Acadia much better than if we stayed in a hotel. It runs on regular unleaded which is very convenient. I rented a similar van in Montana that ran on diesel and in rural areas it can be difficult to find diesel at times. The shore power and adapter for it were convenient and worked flawlessly. I highly recommend this vehicle if you are traveling as a couple. If we go to Maine again, we will be renting this van. Abbie’s van is PERFECT for a getaway! Super easy to drive and Abbie is super responsive for whatever you need. We drove this all around Acadia National park with no issues at all. It came fully stocked with everything we needed for camping (minus the food!) and the bed is more comfortable than what we have at home. All of my friends who saw this van immediately asked where I rented it from because they wanted to rent it too!
