We had a lovely time with the "vintage" Spud the Sprinter traveling to City of Rocks and Craters of the Moon. The hosts were thorough and responsive in their communication. The van was well appointed for sleeping and the sink, microwave, and induction burner were more than adequate for cooking. The real measure of a 5 star hosts is how do they respond when things go a bit sideways. We did have an issue with the propane heater which we were unable to troubleshoot with the hosts helped-- but was addressed with a few extra blankets and using the electric kettle for hot water. We also had a random act of gravel which caused a big rock chip on the drivers side. To make up not having propane heat the hosts refunded our early departure fee and covered the. cost of the rock chip repair so we did not have to deal with Outdoorsy claims. They offered to split the difference if we needed to replace the front window (which was not needed). This was very fair. A word of advice for all renters on Outdoorsy: to file claim you need to take before (pick up) and after (return) photos preferably in the app. You cannot use the hosts pictures. Bri and Quins thoughtfulness earned five star

Amazing trip to the sawtooth mountains and hot springs with Spud! This van has a robust system for boondocking in the mountains with the abundance of free camping spots. Comfy bed and great setup - we had a blast!

Spud was in great condition and working order and Bri and Quinn were quick to respond to our questions. We enjoyed the chairs and table as well as the BBQ. We didn't have a hook up so it was pretty self sufficient with power and the large water tank. Would rent this again!

Spud had everything we were told to expect and more. Communication with owners was great. This van was perfect for a comfortable and efficient camping experience.

Spud was so great!!! Exactly what we needed and was perfect for our trip to North Idaho! Easy to drive, easy to use! Bed was comfortable, solar panels kept us charged the whole time! Would totally recommend Spud to any couple wanting to try out van life!!

Spud is the van you want for whereever you want to adventure!
Owns are very responsive and easy to work with!
Spud will have power and water for days (boondocking + CPAP friendly!), the stove, microwave, and well equiped kitchen have any food situation covered, bed is comfy so you wont be missing your home mattress, storage is more than generous (and deceptively more than the pics!), and toilet and hot water will keep you on the road and not detouring for a bathroom.
We have stayed in many different kinds of van builds from very basic DIY to assembly line winnebago models. Spud is the most thoughtfully functional designed, reliable, and easy to use van we have ever stayed in. Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

This van is great! I have never driven a van of this size, but it was much easier than I thought even on the narrow mountain roads! The most important amenities for camping, as I get older.- toilet, shower and a comfortable bed. Spud provides all of those , plus more. I enjoyed the awning , the heavy duty screen , black out covers for windows and the fan that sucks hot air out! The owners are great to work with and accommodating for early and late pick up/drop off!

Spud was perfect. The van had everything we needed for the time we spent camping in the sawtooths. Spud allowed us to camp in some of the most beautiful off grid locations. Quinn and Bri were very professional and friendly. We would absolutely love to rent Spud again!

We had so much fun with Spud. We decided to rent a camper van for a friend's wedding we were in town for. Spud had everything we needed in it. Bri was so helpful and showed us everything we needed to know and answered all of our questions. Bri was responsive from the very beginning and accommodating of our travel schedule. As our first time staying in a van, it was easy to follow all of the instructions and operate all the systems. Not to mention the mattress was so comfy! We would definitely rent Spud again and are inspired to begin our own van adventures!

We had an amazing trip with SPUD! We started in Boise and went to the hot springs in Idaho City, took in a show at Garden Valley, Jet boat ride with Kilgore Adventure, rafting, and Route of the Hiawatha. If you are looking for adventure take SPUD with you! Bri and Quinn are amazing!
