The owners were very nice and flexible with pick-up and drop-off times. The camper was clean and overall well cared for. The canvas had no rips or holes, though there were some minor cosmetic issues where it had come untucked from the frame in small spots near the door and some Velcro was missing by the door on the inside. The A/C worked great.Unfortunately, several issues brought the experience down to a 3-star level. Our vehicle has a 4-pin connection while the camper requires a 7-pin. The owners provided a 4-pin to 7-pin adapter, but it did not work. We even tested the lights with both our vehicle and theirs, confirming it wasn’t functional. I had to purchase a new one myself, but there was no offer to compensate for the cost. When we arrived at our campsite, we also discovered the camper’s battery was dead. This meant the electric lift didn’t work, we had no interior lights for the first night, and we were woken up at 6 a.m. by the carbon monoxide detector going off due to the battery issue. Thankfully, we were camping with friends who had a 7-pin connection and a trickle charger, which allowed us to both set up the camper and recharge the battery enough for the return. Without that help, the camper would not have been usable. The owners did apologize and offered an extra night free, but our schedule didn’t allow us to use it. No other discount was provided to offset the added cost or inconvenience. That said, the owners are newer to renting and now that they’re aware of these issues, future renters will likely not experience the same problems. Overall, the camper itself was nice and the owners were friendly, but these hiccups kept this trip from being a better experience.
