Hi! I’m Maxime, an adventurer at heart living in the Bay Area. Originally from France, I’ve been exploring the beautiful landscapes of California for over a decade. When I’m not on the road with my dog Jackie, enjoying the freedom of nature, I love hosting—whether it’s a great dinner party for friends or helping fellow adventurers experience the open road with my campervan. My van is fully equipped and ready for your next adventure, and I’m always happy to answer any questions to make sure you have an unforgettable trip. Let’s get you out there to explore!

I took my toddler on a quick trip to Yosemite with Max’s van and we had a great time! A car seat fit great in the back seats and we loved having the convenience of the van while camping.

Fantastic experience! Max is a kind, generous and flexible host. Seamless pick up and drop off of the van. Van had all the amenities we needed for our trip through the Sierra Nevada Mountains and no issues. Nice sized fridge, more than ample storage space, hot meals and running water. Can’t wait to do it again!

The perfect California road trip vehicle! Max and Sharon were wonderful hosts, super easy to communicate, and made renting a breeze. They were flexible with my pickup/drop-off which I appreciated. I spent 4 days/3 nights in the van driving up Highway 1 towards Oregon. The van was incredibly easy to drive and comfortable even after long hours on the road. I enjoyed being able to stop along the coast, open the side door, and cook a meal with an incredible view. The composting toilet was convenient for emergencies (especially when it was pouring rain outside) and I found it more appealing/easier to clean than a cassette toilet. Although I didn't get a chance to use the outdoor shower it was great knowing it was there if needed. The queen sized bed was very comfortable and extra blankets helped keep me warm during chilly nights. The van has everything you could need for your vacation and I would rent it again in a heartbeat.

My girlfriend had never been camping before; after having gone to Yosemite in this camper, I worry I might have turned her into a life-long glamper. The van came with everything we needed. The bed was very spacious and comfortable, there was a lot of storage, and cooking on the gas range was great - we made several lovely meals. The van drove very well and was easy to handle. A couple of things to think about: the bed is placed very high in the cabin, so if you have any mobility issues it might be a bit of a challenge. The grey water tank is on the smaller side, so make sure you check it frequently if you can't drain grey water underneath the van (like when you're in a national park).

Jackie’s Den was the perfect van for our first van experience! Max &Sharon has truly thought of everything and we’re super helpful in both the prep/planning of our trip and throughout the trip itself.
