We bought our first RV back in 2012—a little 19’ hybrid—and took off on a six-week tour of the West with our three middle schoolers and our standard poodle. We didn’t know what we were doing, but we had a blast... and we were hooked. A few years (and a couple of graduations) later, we sold the house, bought a 42’ fifth wheel, and hit the road full-time. That original “three-year plan” turned into six, because, well—once you start drinking coffee surrounded by mountains each day, it’s hard to stop. These days, we’ve got grandkids and a home base again, so we downsized to something a little cozier: Birdie, our cheerful Class C. He’s just right for making new memories, and we’re excited to share him with other families who want to see the world—without totally giving up hot showers and real beds.
