Hi, I'm Jayce. I am extremely passionate about nature, adventure and I couldn't be happier getting to call this island home. I started doing Outdoorsy because it is an amazing way to allow people to enrich themselves in the local culture and beauty of the island. I have always worked in hospitality and I love connecting with visitors and helping them have an amazing time. I am also a motivated mom-prenuer and I am so blessed to be able to have this opportunity to help support my family and give my baby boy the life he deserves! We had such a great trip camping around Kauai with Jayce’s vehicle! Jayce provided all of the essentials and we supplemented with some of our own gear, small stuff that was easy to pack such as head lamps. Jayce was very responsive and made the airport drop off and pick up a breeze. We had a wonderful trip and the vehicle did everything we needed!

We had an amazing 3 days with Jayce's car. It had everything we needed to cook all our meals and sleep comfortably in the tent. Her car even has possibility to connect your phone to Apple Car which was an awesome feature that made navigation around the island even easier.

Jayce was incredibly responsive and super flexible and helpful to accommodate our schedule and went out of her way to let us lick it up early and drop it off late. Car was perfect for exploring off paved roads into some stunning sections of the island. However, we found some of what we would have considered basic essentials from a camping standpoint weren’t included. Jayce was responsive and put some things together for us to pick up when we requested, but we were lucky to be close by still we realized. The camping set up was rather basic from our standpoint (no cups at all, no plates, only one small pot and no pan, no way to make coffee, a single thin blanket) etc. Everyone is different in terms of expectations but for us it was lacking a few essentials from a camping standpoint. Jayce helped fill the gaps when we requested and we appreciated that a lot, but that was rather inconvenient for her and us, and we still struggled to really cook anything other than ramen. She was a great host and the car was great

Had an amazing time camping and exploring the island in Jayce’s vehicle. Camping is definitely the way to go when visiting Kauai and this option made it easy with everything we needed! We were very comfortable on the air mattress and in the massive tent. The vehicle is in good condition, but rugged enough for the muddy roads and exploring. I would use this option again going back!

This was the perfect rig for our 10 day trip around Kauai with our 2 kids. Jayce gave us some very helpful tips to plan our journey and was so flexible!

hello! I highly recommend renting the Super XTerra! I loved driving this vehicle in kauai and all the gear Jayce loaned was adequate :)

YOU NEED THIS XTERRA IF YOU WANT TO ADVENTURE ON KAUAI!!!We lived out of Jayce's Xterra for a week on our honeymoon. It did everything we needed it to. We were able to comfortably travel with surfboards, SUPs, all the camping gear and our luggage. Jayce was a fantastic host; the car came with everything we needed to camp - tent, tarp, air mattress, bedding, and a full kitchen setup. It was all in good working order. Jayce included a full jug of water and beach towels, and offered to refresh them partway through our trip, if needed. We were able to pack it all up quickly and effectively day after day. The tent kept us dry in the rain and the extra fuzzy blanket kept us warm on our cool night in Kokee State Park, when we were also very appreciative for the 4WD. Overall we had a phenomenal trip and would 100% return and rent from Jayce again. Strongly recommend!

Renting at your own risk.On the second day the corroded trunk broke due to corrosion when we arrived at the campsite before the sunset. It was impossible to close it. We were lucky it broke at the campsite and not at Waimea canyon where there is no service. The owner refused to drive down to us as we were too far away (south of the island, 1.5 h drive) and cover mechanics cost if they were more than 50$. Kauai is a small island and although we called outdoorsy for help no mechanics were available. The owner even suggested we should drive with an open trunk! We were staying at a public camp with all our valuables there and not having it closed for the night would mean sleepless night and canceling our plans for this short stay. The owner tried to convince us that the island is safe and nothing ever gets stolen, but the police stats and experiences of our colleagues that were camping at public camps said something contrary. As it was getting dark we were told by the owner we can try to fix it and close it on our own, but it didn’t go without scratches due to the corrosion of the car. The owner didn’t comment on them and said she was happy we were able to close it.

This was due to a flat tire and damage to the rim, the morning of the booking as I went to go get gas. Loretta was kind and understood.
