My wife and I bought this camper as a way to get back into camping after we had our kids. We want our boys to get out and enjoy nature while still having a home base for all the basic amenities that having young ones requires.

This Mantis is cool, very modern and clean. Kris is a stand-up, honest guy and great communicator, easy to reach. Note to RV newbies: take his advice and bring the generator, many sites in national parks that are for RVs actually don't have electric hookups. Highly recommended.

Kris was wonderful to work with. I met him in CO Springs to pick it up and he was nice enough at the end of our trip to meet at my house in Westminster to pick it up given another customer was renting in our area. I rented the Mantis for a 5 night camping trip in Southern Utah with my wife and 1yo daughter. We pulled it behind a Tacoma and it was the perfect trailer for upgrading from your standard car camping trip. Given the weight, it was slower going up and over the passes but otherwise the trailer was easy to tow. There was enough room for a pack and play for our daughter to sleep. We were mainly dispersed camping and the solar panel was able to charge the fridge the entire time. The water tank is big enough for about 1-2 days of use, depending if you use the shower or not... Speaking of which the outdoor shower with hot water was a god send! This trailer is a perfect if you still want to rough it in style, without all the glitz and glamor of a standard RV trailer.

Taxa Mantis trailer was great and Kris was very helpful and responsive. We spent a couple nights in Westcliffe, CO, and then a couple nights in the San Isabel National Forest between Salida and Buena Vista. Great trailer and great trip!

Kris was super easy to work with. He was a great communicator weeks before we planned to arrive as well as during our rental. Had a slight electrical issue that arose after a day or two while boondocking near the collegiate peaks. I texted Kris about the problem and he was on it. He ended up being placed on hold with tech support for quite awhile regarding the integrated solar panels. After problem solving with the manufacturer and some minor pushing of buttons by me inside the camper everything was back in working order.

Our trip with the Mantis and our experience with Kris were excellent. The Mantis was easy to tow and had the perfect amount of space for our family. Kris was great to work with on the pick up and drop off process.

Kris was super accommodating and very thorough in going through the mechanical systems prior to our departure. The Mantis was very well stocked.

WOW! Congratulations, you just ran into a great find. This is the only TAXA Mantis I could find to rent in the South Central US and it is in CO. Renting it and our trip as a whole were both awesome experiences. We will definitely do it again. So try and save me a few good weeks because I suspect this trailer will start booking up way in advance. Also loved the Solo Stove and other equipment Kris will rent. Thanks again Kris and I hope to see you again soon!

Loved the F150 and TAXA Mantis. I have a Jeep Wrangler and in Colorado I knew it would be better to have a stronger tow truck. It pulled the trailer like a dream and the storage in the camper shell and flat loading rear floor with fold up seats were great at camp.

Kris is great guy, and Mantis performs as advertised. The AC is only thing that disappointed. It was inadequate for anything over 82-85 degrees even with the lid down to greatly reduce volume to be cooled.
