Acerca de Peter Mathiesen

I live year-round in Talkeetna, Alaska, and in the summer run a fly fishing guiding business in addition to building and renting wilderness cabins. Most of my off-season is working as a Journalist for numerous national periodicals and websites. If you're in Alaska, please pick up one of my books, Tales of the Alaska State Troopers, from Skyhorse Publishing. We often have our standard poodle Millie in tow and she loves to meet our renters.

This is the perfect vehicle for heading out into the wilds of Alaska. You can park it anywhere as it’s not too long, yet it was just big enough for my wife and I to live in for 2 weeks.

This was perfect for our trip!!! Peter was great and fast at replying. Resolved all issues we had before and during the trip. He even added a bike rack for us. Unfortunately it didn’t work out for our bikes but it was nice of him to have that as an option. Easy pick up and drop off! It was perfect. Thank you for letting us explore AK in your van.

It was a great pleasure renting from Peter. He was responsive, flexible, and kind enough to offer as much information as possible so that we could have the best experiences on this trip.
His van was a great investment for this trip. It was clean, comfortable, and just what we needed for some gravel road driving!
Peter also took care of small details, such as providing pantry goods, plates, utensils, and cooking ware.
