We are a family run motor home RV Motorhome and Camper Van rental business based in Anchorage Alaska. We rent most all season long with rates as low as $130/day on some units. We have basic camper vans sleeping two and all the way up to 30 foot class C RV motorhomes with slides that sleep up to eight. With unlimited miles, free generator use, free kitchenware, free airport or hotel pickup and drop-off, optional bedding and insurance, we are your one stop shop for Anchorage Alaska RV rentals. This was the best. Josh was great on the phone giving me lots of good advice. Pat was great picking us up and the low down on the van. It was a great experience. I would highly recommend Ak Family Motorhomes to anyone. We had a blast seeing the state. The kids were comfortable in the tent above and even stayed dry in the rain storms. Having the fridge was a great convenance. Loved every minute of it.

The camper van was the perfect way to get out and see what we wanted to. We loved the freedom of not having to stick to an itinerary of hotel reservations, and it didn't cost much more than a rental car would have. Would have no hesitation at all to rent this camper van again.

I would recommend this outfit to other people. The "mattress" or sleeping pad is not quite thick enough padding for a big guy like me. We purchased an inflatable mattress to use. The service response for repairs is a model that other companies should learn. I texted about a clutch fan cooling issue and the company jumped in with both feet to get it resolved FAST! Loaner car during RV repair allowed vacation to keep going. People were very pleasant, alert, and attentive to every word we said. When they picked up or dropped us off, Manager helped with luggage. RV was CLEAN. Someone invests a lot of effort to clean an RV after it has been roaming in Alaska. Table was ready to eat off of as soon as we got inside. Hand Sanitizer provided in RV and Loaner Car. LPG, Gasoline both FULL when you get the unit. Alaska can have cool mornings in summer as in 50 degrees; Nice to know that the Heater runs off LPG and coach batteries for ducted blower which in turn allows interior to warm up in just 15 minutes. All off grid and all working as it should. Stove was flawless to get that hot tea or eggs in the morning. Fridge when off grid maintained safe cold temperatures for food all the time. On a side note, I am a CDL driver; Pre-trip on this unit told me that the maintenance and safety issues were well attended to. I would not be afraid to drive unit back to Pennsylvania. To Alaska Family Motorhomes I say THANK-YOU for helping my wife and I have a great summer.

Hey Bob, It was great meeting you. I am glad we got everything dialed in while you had a great time touring around Anchorage. My son and our team work hard to give you a safe, reliable, clean RV to drive and it sounds like you had fun driving it. These RV's go up and down Alaska highways all season long and we do our best to keep them reliable, safe and clean.

Van customization was great - met our needs and everything well thought out and easy to use. Amenities such as camp chairs, linens, dishes, etc., included some thoughtful items such as extra propane canisters, bug spray, etc. We encountered a small issue with the battery not charging, but staff were very communicative by text and helped us try to troubleshoot, and ultimately fixed it for us at their shop mid-trip. Would highly recommend the Alaska Family Motor Homes for their equipment and their customer service!

The RV worked out really good for our travel needs. The staff was great to work with and everything went to plan. It was very helpful that they gave our whole family a ride to the airport with all our luggage.

The guys were great! Set me up with a class C on extremely short notice. 2 days, after a competitor dumped me without notice I had a reservation 2 months ago. Great trip, thanks Guys, you're the best!

We had a wonderful time in the Camper Van! From the first time I called to ask questions about this rental, Pat & John were very helpful answering all the questions that I had. We didn’t have any mechanical issues and using this Van to explore Alaska was awesome!
