About Mike's RV rentals

Hi! We're Mike and Patty Kenefick, owners of Mountain States RV Rentals, located in Casper, Wyoming. Mike started the rental business with 1 unit in 2017. Since then, we've added 1 trailer in 2020, and 2 motorhomes in 2021. Our new name (formerly Kenefick RV and Motorhome Rentals), reflects this growth, but not a change in our commitment to our clients. While neither of us are natives here, Mike has lived in the Casper area for over 20 years, and Patty is a 2019 transplant from Washington. We both love it here, and enjoy an active lifestyle with friends. Interests include golfing, serving in our church, boating, hiking, working out, ... and of course adventuring in one of our fun units! Mike still has a few more years ahead of him before retiring from his career as a corporate pilot, but when Patty left her job as a Medical Assistant in Washington state, she hung up her stethoscope for good. At Mountain States RV Rentals, we provide safe, clean and worry free units that are equipped with most amenities like dishes, pans, and bedding. Every unit is inspected and thoroughly cleaned before they go out on the next rental. Also important is the safety of your family -- and ours -- so the motorhomes are regularly and professionally serviced. ​ The goal of our business is to make your vacation as trouble free as we can! Additionally, our small size allows us the flexibility to customize our services (i.e. complimentary airport pick up, the ability to bring your well-behaved pets, and flexible return times when possible). We had the best time camping. The owners provided everything we could have possibly needed for the trip including a coffee maker! Definitely highly recommend!

Unit is in great shape for it's age and was well equipped with everything we needed. “Pre-flight” check over was thorough and owner was easy to work with. Good rental for the short trip we needed it for.

The RV was great, had everything we needed and was easy to operate. Mike and Patty are truly wonderful hosts. We flew in from Pittsburgh and they met us at the airport and dropped us off when our trip was done. So friendly; Patty even made muffins to start our trip off! We had a couple of questions and Mike got right back to us. We highly recommend Mike and Patty and any of their RVs.

Mike was great to work with, extremely helpful and friendly. The trailer was exactly what I needed to make my weekend very comfortable and enjoyable. The only problem was me, should have taken more time to be organized before leaving town with the trailer in tow.

Camper floor was soaking wet from the previous users and it’s been that way for a while because the floor was really soft. We didn’t notice it when checking out the camper until that night when we took our shoes off. Then they charged us $5.00 because Mike didn’t know how to refund our full deposit. It’s not the $5.00 that bothers us it’s the principle of the whole thing. Said he was going to refund something but instead charged us. Not a happy camper. Hope he gets it fixed by the next time he rents it out!!!

Jo, my apologies to you and your husband for the wet floor. After your rental, the problem was diagnosed as a leaking drain pipe from the shower, and has since been replaced. I, too, was in contact with Outdoorsy concerning returning 100% of the damage deposit, and the app would NOT allow me to refund the entire deposit. (I use an iPad exclusively for Outdoorsy business, and sometimes apps work differently depending on which platform is used.) My wife and I would like to extend an offer to you and your spouse for a complimentary night with a return booking. We strive to provide the best experience that we can for our guests.

We had a fabulous weekend in the Minni-Winnie! Lots of sleeping room, tons of storage and Mike is a great host! We highly recommend Mike and the Minnie-Winnie, you wont regret it!

Our trip was amazing and being able to rent the Minnie Winnie from Mike just made it that much better! The Winnie was very comfortable for sleeping and playing cards when we wanted to get out of the wind. It was very clean and the little things such as dishes, utensils, and pots and pans that were provided in the Winnie were very much appreciated. Inside it was warm at night and cool during the day, so we didn’t need to use the heater or air conditioner but having the option was definitely a bonus. Mike was super friendly and helpful, he showed us what all we needed to know about operating the various amenities in the Winnie and was very accommodating when we wanted to check it out to make sure it would work for what we needed before our actual rental date. We will definitely be renting from him again! So much fun!

Go for it! Rent this RV without hesitation. Mike was so helpful in setting me up for a fantastic vacation in Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. He is knowledgeable, honest and keeps the vehicle running great! The motor is a beast in the mountains and the interior is spacious. Everything is in good working condition and is packed with everything you need. Thx so much, Mike!
