This is a pretty barebones van setup - but it served its purpose of being both a vehicle and a place to sleep. The build is pretty weak, with a huge lack of storage compared to other vans we've rented. The curtains also don't do a good job of sealing up the front from the outside world, we ended up having to tie up clothing in the corners to black it out. A set of windshield & front window covers would go a long way for this. The foot pump sink was fine, but not great to use. There are no house batteries or solar, so it relies on running the engine to keep the main battery charged up which runs the fridge. While it had an A/C unit on the roof, there were no instructions on how to operate it (and didn't seem to be functional after doing our own research). This is the only fan on the roof, which means we didn't have a vent fan for our trip. We picked up the van with only 1/4 tank of fuel which meant before we could really even get going on the road we had to stop to fill up - typically I would expect to pick up a rental that is already filled.

The van and service of Wandervans is amazing. The large van fits a family of 4 comfortably and is equipped with everything you need. If you have special requests or questions, the Wandervans team is always there for you. I highly recommend booking with them — I'll definitely do it again in the future! Even the seagulls love it...

A great option for exploring camping with young children. My anti road trip kids loved riding in the van and sleeping in the van and were sad to say goodbye. The Vandervans team, Tommy, was super responsive to calls and texts when we ran into one issue with getting the fridge going as well as on pickup and return. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to get a taste of camper van living.

We've rented many times and love their vans. Have driven different sized vans and all are terrific. We like that there are not built in cabinets to hit our heads on. Much more space to move around. Plenty of room to hang clothing. Refrigerator is a great size. Convenient and affordable rental for us every time. Plus great customer service if you have questions or concerns. We use the top bunk to lay out more clothing when it's just two of us. It is a little harder navigating your head having the top bunk, but we make great use of it. Hoping they will add more queen bed vans that are tall.

Our family of 5 had a great adventure traveling around northern California for two weeks in the Wandervan. Communication was quick and clear, and they were able to accommodate our needs and requests. The van did not have any mechanical issues and the beds were comfortable. Both my husband and I felt confident driving even though we got the biggest one that was available. A few things we did not think about while making the reservation that others may want to make sure they plan for were the extra fees for insurance, add ons if you're flying in like we did (bedding, kitchen kit, canopy, ect), gas, airport delivery, and campground reservations made it add up quite a bit. We all loved the flexibility of not having to go from hotel to hotel or thinking about checking in and out of Airbnb's. Of course now my husband wants to buy one, so you know that the whole family had a blast overall!

Over all experience was good. The Van worked well and it was nice to experience this type of travel and camping. A few things that were a bit of a hiccup that made the first time rental experience a bit more stressful (forgetting large net, insurance email talking about adding van to insurance never came until last minute so scramble to work with our insurance, and charging us $300 for your insurance when we had mentioned we were sorting out with our insurance, no need for that charge).

My family had a great experience with Wandervans, we hired a large transit and it was comfortable to fit two adults and one kiddo. The wandervans team was communicative and accommodating, the van was clean and the couple of minor items that cropped up (minor sensor faults) were addressed promptly. I’d happily rent from Wandervans again.

Great company, staff and van. We rented the mid-sized Wandervan for a road trip through the Southern Mother Lode of the Sierra's. Van handled the mountains great. Comfortable queen size bed. We could comfortably stand up in it. Easy camp setup. Next day easy to just drive off to the next stunning site. Easy return of van. Highly recommend this company for your next adventure.
