We are avid outdoorsy people who love nature hiking and exploring our great country. I am a retired police officer and Pam a teacher. We love photography, hiking, and cross country skiing. I have been back country hiking for years and decided it would be nice to have a warm dry place to go after a day on the trails. We rented a Travato to make sure it was going to work with our life style and it did! Now we own one. Our first trip was to Adirondack NY. Lake Placid was really cool and we loved all the hiking trails in Adirondack Park. We finished off our trip with some white water rafting. We decided on the 59G model because of the floor plan; large wet bath and dinette area that seats 5! Traveling in a Winnebago is great because you can park the rig anywhere and sleep anywhere as well. No need for hook ups everything is self contained in our rig which we call "Cali". This summer we are westward bound; Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park.
