Road restrictions:
While we understand you are here for the adventure, our car is NOT an off-road vehicle and common sense must be used when deciding where and where not to go.
Off-limits roads include: The Denali Highway (the 135 mile road between Cantwell and Paxson), the road to McCarthy/Kennicott, Dalton Highway (aka The Haul Road) and any locations via ferry that take you off the road system (e.g. Kodiak).Otros detalles importantes-there are many areas, even on highly traveled roads,where there is no cell service
-there are long stretches of road where there are no gas stations so plan your gas-ups accordingly
-we cannot accommodate pets at this time
-please DO NOT clean fish in or near the vehicle. Bears are attracted to all food and especially fish smell, so choose wisely when handling and storing fish and fishing gear!
-fish smells, messes and other "accidents" may result in additional fees and affect your deposit

5.0The car was a reliable choice for our 3weeks mountainbike trip. We loved the size of the car, especially that it was not huge but spacious enough for 2 bikes and camping gear. Tent was easy to use, comfortable and offered more than enough space for 2. Also Mindy was great and really helped us get the most of our trip. She offers a lot of gear to rent so that it is suitable for whatever you need and she even stored our bulky bikebags, which we are very grateful for. Therefore, we would fully recommend.

5.0My partner and I travelled Alaska for 10 nights with GEM. Honestly, I went with high expectations and even those were exceeded significantly. Mindy is a fantastic host, a great communicator and catered to our every need. Every single process was easy from booking, collection, drop off, etc and the car & tent were absolutely perfect the whole trip. The tent was excellent, even in the middle of summer when it consistently stays bright outside, the tent has a thick lining so it was quite dark inside which was ideal. The car gave us no issues at all which makes our trip go all that smoother. If I come back to Alaska for a trip I will be contacting Mindy first thing and I recommend anyone that is planning a trip to do the same.
