Our camper vans have been modified to accommodate up to 4 adults (or 2 adults and 3 small kids), who can sleep, cook and travel all from the same vehicle. The interior of the van can be configured into a double bed, and the rooftop tent pops up to create another double bed on top of the van. A storage bin can fit all of your luggage (as long as it’s soft-sided; there’s plenty of room but it’s an awkward shape!), and also converts into a table and bench configuration for dining or family card games. Sheets, comforters and pillows are provided; you’re welcome to bring sleeping bags or additional bedding as needed. The rear lift gate opens up on our camper vans to reveal a kitchenette with every thing you need to prepare gourmet wilderness entrees. The two-burner propane stove will cook pretty much everything that can be made on a stovetop, and a saucepan and skillet come with the setup. Cooking utensils, including a chef’s knife, serving spoon, spatula and cutting board, round out the cookware, while place settings are included (plate, bowl, cup and cutlery) along with soap, sponge and dish towel for cleanup. There’s also a fridge! It can chill or freeze, and runs on a separate battery system from the car, so you don’t have to worry about draining the battery while in camp. There is a sink and faucet with an electric water pump, a storage area for the cookware and dishes, and a countertop where all your prep work can happen. Each rental comes filled with 9 gallons of fresh water as well, and it’s easy to refill while you’re on the road. A 9-gallon gray water tank will hold all your waste water until you’re able to empty it safely. The extras you can rent to further kit out your camper vans include kettles, coffee presses and coolers, and camping extras include small tables, camp chairs, travel guides and extra bedding.

Our travel vehicles offer a smaller, affordable alternative to traditional Alaska RV rental. Camper vans and SUVs are the perfect way to see Alaska, because they offer almost all the comforts of home, but without the price tag or the giant vehicle to go with them.

We had a great experience. The van was awesome and it provided us the freedom to see so much of Alaska on our visit. Definitely recommend Get Lost Travel Vans!

Renting with Get Lost Travel Vans was a fantastic experience. Alaska is a gorgeous state, and incredibly well suited for travel by campervan. I went with my wife and 20 month old son, and we all loved it. There are lots of reasons to visit Alaska, and lots of reasons to see the state from the comfort of a campervan, but I'll assume that if you're reading this review you're already convinced of that. Instead I'll focus on why you should choose Get Lost Travel Vans:

It was splendid. Many people came and talked with us about this new idea of "tent" on the top of van.
For your future consumers, you may like to advise them to put the blanket inside the van to keep it dry, and then put it in the tent to sleep overnight.

The Get Lost vehicle is a converted Dodge Grand Caravan that was perfect for my trip in Alaska. It was a great vehicle that has a small but efficient kitchen, sink and water tank and storage. Except for one night, I slept in the popup roof top tent. It was nice sleeping in the open air. After a few days, I figured out the best places for storing my gear. The owners are very nice and pleasant, highly recommend renting from them.

I wanted a campervan for my week in Alaska vs an RV. It was easier to navigate and get into places that an RV would be difficult to get to. It was perfect Get Lost was able to answer all my questions ahead of time. The van is equipped with everything you would need. The best is super comfortable and so it is the pop tent on top. It drove like a dream. We used it as our bedroom, kitchen, living room and car for a whole week and were sad to return it. I would highly recommend using a campervan and most especially Get Lost. It was nice to use a company vs an individual owner. We had people stop of at rest stops and campgrounds wanting a tour of the campervan. It is a unique experience and I can't wait to rent from them again in the future.
