"Ramona" is a recently converted camper van that sleeps 2 people and feels like home with an all wood interior, full size bed, and fully stocked kitchen for cooking on the road. Ramona is a front wheel drive with a short wheel base so it is easy to drive and maneuver and can be parked in a standard parking spot. The van has 3 solar panels as well as the ability to charge off of the van's alternator so there is plenty of power. There is a 2000 watt inverter for the AC outlets, and there are 12v USB charging ports throughout the van to keep all your gadgets charged while on your camping adventure. There is a deep sink for washing dishes, as well as a high pressure hose in the back for rinsing off muddy boots or your furry friend! There is no hot water heater, but the high pressure and hot water kettle makes doing dishes an easy chore. The van comes fully equipped with linens, pans, and cooking utensils. There is also a butane suitcase stove, foldable table, and tripod stools stored in the back for outdoor cooking while set up at camp. For chilly nights, there is a portable Mr. Buddy propane heater. The cooler is stored inside a bench that can be used as seating as well as a step to climb into bed. The passenger seat is also a swivel seat that can be turned and paired with a flip up table for an additional place to enjoy a meal or use as a work desk. There is plenty of storage in the overhead cabinets, as well as underneath the bed for all of your adventure gear and suitcases. Chip and Sky are two certified USCG captains and Fly Fishing guides that work in Katmai National Park in the summer. They have been driving the Alcan Highway the last 6 years and are very familiar with long road trips. Although they are from Maine and Michigan, they spend their winters in sunny Florida where they hand-built "Ramona." They travel with their mixed-breed pup, Django, and look forward to sharing their van with fellow dog lovers!
