3Could’ve been a better trip. I could not get the refrigerator to work for the entire 3 days I rented it. The owner was very responsive and claims it was user error. I was lucky to have friends with other RVs that I could store my food. Half the lights in the vehicle were not operational and neither was the main cabin vent fan. The interior tv was not mounted and had to be propped to watch. The DVD was not operational since the remote was not provided. That was a disappointment to my kids. It was also highly unorganised. Supplies were haphazardly shoved in the cabinetry some of which were full of the owner’s belongings. All other equipment was functional. This RV is no frills and very basic. My friend rented a newer, better appointed and more functional for a similar price.

Can I use the RV off grid (no hookups?)

It is not recommended to use the RV off grid in extreme heat where you will need to run the generator in order to run the A/C, microwave, outlets, etc. If you need to be comfortable, please make sure you have an appropriate place to hook up to electricity (30amp) or go off grid in a cool climate.
