Review of Jennifer’s Mercedes Self-Contained Van Antonio Banderas—aka Jennifer’s van—is a perfect play toy. Born in 2015 but upgraded to 2025, Antonio comes equipped with CarPlay, strong batteries, and a solar panel backup that keeps everything powered smoothly. The cooler is large enough to store plenty of food, keeping it fresh the whole trip. The kitchen is well-stocked with quality utensils, fun dishes, and coffee cups. The cooktop/oven combo is a unique feature. Most of the time, we moved it outside to cook on the outdoor table. The small propane tank was easy to handle but provided more than enough fuel for the trip. The sink worked well, and the 35-gallon water supply was more than enough. We used only about 10 gallons in eight days. The cassette toilet is simple to use and easy to empty, as is the gray water. The bed was comfortable, with good linens and an extra wool blanket that guaranteed restful nights. Even in temperatures as low as 45° and as high as 92°, we stayed perfectly comfortable. On the road, Antonio is a powerhouse. The van is large yet surprisingly easy to drive. Climbing from Bozeman into Yellowstone—a big climb with sharp curves—Antonio handled it with ease. Montana’s 80 MPH speed limits were no problem either. (I didn’t track MPG, so can’t comment there.) We covered 2,200 miles: Bend → Bozeman → Yellowstone → Cody → Jackson Hole → Sun Valley → back to Bend. Jennifer was fantastic—attentive, with a very helpful YouTube walkthrough and thorough orientation at pickup. We’re already planning our next trip.

Jennifer’s van was exactly what we needed, and nothing that we didn’t! Perfect amount of storage, easy components to understand. HUGE water tank, sink, stove & oven. She left us with everything we needed; clean sheets, plenty of cookware, hammocks, chairs, it was top tier. Not to mention how incredible Jennifer was! She created a walk through video & PDF manual just so we had something to reference! She FaceTimed us to explain how to refill the tank on our 10 day trip. She was quite literally the most communicative, awesome host - & she so clear cared about us having a great time and everything we needed. Sometimes it’s more about the host than it is the van (even tho both were great). I couldn’t thank her enough for some of the best memories I’ve had on this trip (I had this dream for a few years). I highly highly recommend this van, and this host. Thank you Jennifer!!
