We call her Texas. Bought her in Texas sight unseen and drove her back to Montana. She is a bit under-used these days and likes to get out! Although a new paint job will be needed she is a very rust-free Texan. The previous owner rebuilt about every mechanical component including a newer 1996 mechanically injected (no sensors to fail!) turbo Diesel engine and transmission. So Texas is ready to hit the road. Comfortable cruising at 60 to 70 but on steepest passes 3rd gear and 45 MPH is`the deal. Not a speedster but solid and very reliable. For sure a great way to see our state if you not in hurry (the best way). Plus you when you are out in rural Montana you will not be driving a big pimped out $100,000 sprinter: look like more of local!! Inside is simple and comfy: spin around front seat, fold down bed, newer pop top canvas with side windows so sleep up top with a view. Rear seat belts. No sink and stove is a coleman that you can take outside (or use inside). Rear and side windows have a heavy tint. Would prefer renting to someone familiar with westies or at the least very comfortable with manual transmission (this is a must).

We install high efficiency heat systems, water heating systems including air-to-water heat pumps, which allow homes like ours to generate all the energy they require (essentially Net Zero). Fun stuff.
