Big Rig was the nickname of my favorite bartender in Denver. Hard to forget. Now we have our Big Rig. We are a family of 5 and use our van in several ways. Ski Trips, lots of time in Maine, camping whenever we can, bike races, beach trips, and more.
We had this van built out by Nirvana Upfitters in Leominster, MA, in 2022. Jude and his team are phenomenal at their craft, and our Mercedes dealership was impressed with the craftsmanship as they see many vans come through for service.
All high end components and a serious AWD outfitting that allows it to handle anything. Andventure Wagon and Owl Van components throughout.
The van seats five comfortably for any road trip, with captains chairs up front and a "3 across" individuals seats that also includes a lagoon table. The galley has great storage, a sink, a fridge, and all the power hookups you need. A hot plate, coffee maker, or toaster could be added depending on your interest in cooking.
Heated floors and ceiling fans balance out your needs for the right temperature and also screens for all windows and doors that keep the bugs out.
Shower wand runs hot water continuously out of the back of the van and privacy screen included for a nice outdoor shower. To-go toilet provided with disposal bags included. The bed sleeps 2 comfortably, my wife and I are both 6'2 and we can add can usually add one of our kids and still not feel cramped.
We have enjoyed it as a way to cut out the cost of housing for a ski trip as well as just a weekend camping experience. This van can be outfitted with everything you need for a trip: snacks, drinks, chairs, rug for outside, pillows and sheets as well as towels and toiletries.
