Because the gross weight is over 3000 lbs, a brake controller is required by law. If your vehicle does not have a brake controller installed, we have one available as an add-on, which plugs in between the wire cable connections on the car and the connections on the camper.***This travel trailer is already equipped with solar panels and an inverter, so you can still use 110 outlets, the microwave, and the included coffee maker without needing electrical hookups! The only electrical appliance you would need hookups to run is the AC unit. Most RVs can only run the fridge and power one or two USB outlets without an electrical hookup, so this camper gives you more freedom to camp where you want and enables you to save money on campground fees! There are so many rustic campgrounds here in Colorado that provide beautiful experiences, but don't have hookups. My wife and I used to camp in a tent fairly often when it was just the two of us. We love camping, hiking, stargazing, and rock hounding. After becoming parents, it became harder to go camping; our daughter has special needs and struggles with changes in routine and environment. We decided to get an RV so that we could enjoy camping again as a family, while also providing the greater stability that our daughter needs. Camping with an RV has been wonderful for our family.
