The fantastic part about "Charlie" is his size and ability to navigate him in and about your campsite. We've enjoyed bringing Charlie from Crested Butte to even Chatfield Reservoir because dirt roads are not a problem at all.It's charming having a refrigerator that works off of Solar, Gas, or Shore Power. And on those colder nights, the heater heats that cabin quick, and the same with that onboard A/C (must have shore power for A/C). Charlie gives you all of the creature comforts of a larger RV with a lot less hassle and more accessibility to explore.The Geo Pro 12SRK ("Colorado Charlie"), the dry weight is 1763 lbs, and at full load is 2,898 lbs meaning "Charlie" can hold 1100 lbs. of cargo. "Charlie" is 12" feet long end to end, which is exceptionally manageable for most drivers. Charlie has a bunch of other goodies for the ultimate "glamping" experience.Please return Charlie how you found him, he should be left clean and organized. No narrow off-roading is allowed. There is a GPS onboard. The awning is not available for use, we suggest bringing a pop-up tent. Stay off the roof at all times.Pick-up times are generally at 9:00 am and drop-off at 4:00 pm. Late fees will apply ($15 for every 15 minutes late).A professionally installed 7 pin brake controller is required to rent Charlie. Rules and policies
Charlies Rules of Engagement: 1) No Climbing on the Roof 2) No Smoking/Vaping inside Charlie 3) All legally able Adults MUST provide license information to Outdoorsy for insurance purposes 4) The vehicle MUST have a 7 (seven) pin brake controller 5) Some dirt roads are ok but must be 2 lane roads, absolutely NO single lane dirt roads or off-roading 6) Due to the fragile nature of the awning, no use of the awning is permitted 7) All dishes must be cleaned with soap and water, dried and put away 8) No food of any kind can go into sink, the gray water tank is very difficult to clean food chunks out 9) Empty gray water tank before returning 10) No use of Awning (sorry, super fragile) 11) Fill Propane Tanks to full 12) No speeding with Charlie

Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?

A.

Yes, we provide you with a detailed email and a PDF instruction manual that will be sent to you about a week before your trip. Read this in detail then ask as many questions as possible. The scariest thing for a lot of renters is having to back up into a parking space as well, we help you with that too! But we do encourage researching on YouTube University before your trip to educate yourselves on how to drive a trailer if you're new.

What do we need to tow "Charlie"

A.

You need a couple of things: 1) Your vehicle must have a towing capacity of at least 3500 lbs. 2) You must have a 2-inch rear trailer hitch 3) We have an adjustable ball hitch free of a rental charge, so you don't need to purchase one 4) Your vehicle MUST have a SEVEN PIN Trailer Connector to rent. "Charlie." This is non-negotiable.

Is "Charlie" easy to drive, do I need experience?

A.

"Charlie" is SUPER easy to drive, no experience is needed. The best thing to remember is that your car is going to be about 12 feet longer and about 3-4 feet taller. Like all trailers, mind the speed limit, be patient and be aware of your surroundings.
