Meet the S.S. Sandy a 2020 Mercedes Winnebago Revel, named after one of our favorite places, the sandy beach.We are located in southern CT and though we love sharing Sandy with others, we also like to keep her close to home. Therefore we only allow rentals to those traveling in New England and New York.We purchased the S.S. Sandy after we rented a van from Outdoorsy to camp in Maine and drive the coast back to Connecticut. We had so much fun exploring and living the #vanlife we wanted one of our own to travel and adventure with our two dogs, Kona(Golden Retriever) and Sylar(Shiba Inu). We are mostly weekend warriors, taking trips all over New England, but we have also ventured down the east coast, all the way to the Florida Keys. We've had tons of fun on trips hiking, biking, chasing waterfalls, finding dog friendly beaches, checking out breweries and finding cool places to park. We're excited to share her with fellow adventurers.The S.S. Sandy sleeps two and is ready to go; all you need to do is move in your gear, grab some groceries and start exploring. Cookware and tableware is included. Sandy has a wet bath with cassette toilet, induction stovetop for cooking, mini-fridge, small sink, outdoor table and awning setup, and indoor table, bench seat, and swiveling front seats and a lot more. Sandy runs almost everything of solar (except AC which needs 30 AMP outlet), a ceiling fan, as well as, mesh screens to protect against bugs for open air sleeping.Sandy is easy to maneuver. At just 19.5 feet long and 10 feet tall, she easily fits into a standard parking spot and drives smoothly. She also includes low-range electronic stability and traction control, as well as, active brake assist, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, four wheel ABS brakes and navigation.Sandy is well insulated and the efficient diesel powered heating system allow you to enjoy even those cold winter outings.
