Te presentamos a tu anfitrión, Stephanie

Miembro desde 2020

Hello! I'm Steph. For me, spending time outside is all about heightening connection -- to nature, to oneself, and to others. While I'm a sucker for roughin' it on a backpacking or car camping trip, the great thing about RVing is that it allows me to extend the amount of time I spend in wild places in a sustainable way. I grew up in Illinois and attended college at a small liberal arts school on the north shore of Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Here I fell in love with outdoor recreation -- hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, kayaking, rafting, climbing, and the like. After graduating, I succumbed to the travel bug and moved abroad to Thailand to teach English, followed by a stint of guiding Wilderness Therapy expeditions in southwest Colorado. Since then, I taught myself to code, began working remotely as a software engineer, and continue to make travel and outdoor exploration a big priority in my life in conjunction with career/creative pursuits. I bought Sid, my 18' teardrop trailer, in May 2022. During summer 2022, I lived and traveled in her (#vanlife) across the western US while working full time. What a blast! Sid is equipped with Starlink for WiFi and all of the amenities necessary for a comfortable, balanced life on the road. I'm currently in a phase of life enjoying a more rooted existence in Denver, CO, but I still take Sid out for the occasional weekend or weeklong adventure. I'm excited to be a part of the Outdoorsy community so I can share her with others! Some of my favorite outdoor trips: - Backpacking the Tahoe Rim Trail, CA/NV - 10-day whitewater rafting trip on the Rogue River, OR - 3-week rafting/canyon backpacking trip in southern Utah - scuba diving in Koh Tao, Thailand - backpacking the Collegiate Peaks Loop, CO - a summer of #vanlife with Sid - Grand Teton NP, Yellowstone NP, & Glacier NP trip with Sid
