Cassidy is my 1985 VW Vanagon. She's slow, she's old, and she's more fun to drive than any new automobile almost 40 years her junior.My bus is mechanically sound, with a new rebuilt motor, interior curtains to block the light while camping, working heat, new 15" wheels and tires, a new stereo and speakers, and a USB port with bluetooth for the stereo.Why is she more expensive than most other vehicles with more modern amenities? She's unique. She's expensive to work on and buy parts for. She's rare. Most important though, she's just more fun. Driving a VW bus just makes you smile, as well as the people you pass, the ones who stop you at a gas station, the ones who ask for a picture, or the ones who want a ride.
