2025 International RV LIV FD17 (Lightweight Innovative Vehicle)
You're assured a cozy and comfortable camping experience in this like new trailer that can be towed by most mid-size SUVs (3500# towing capacity or greater). Ideal for 2 people but can sleep 1 additional adult or 2 children sharing the fold down dinette bed. Trailer is disinfected after each use for your safety. Enjoy either AC or heat (two sources: heat pump and/or electric fireplace) when plugged into shore power or when using a portable generator. The 17 foot length makes this trailer easy to tow and back into camp spaces and is ideally used with RV hookups for electrical, water, and sewer. Rare in this size trailer, the bathroom includes a shower stall and flush toilet with hot water provided by on-demand water heater. There is a 24” TV that can be used with wifi streaming services, or plugged into available cable connection in RV park.
The kitchen includes a microwave, 2-way (AC/DC) 6 cubic foot fridge with large freezer compartment, 2 burner propane stove, stove vent hood fan, portable induction cook top that can be also used outside, a large sink, and includes pots/pans, and utensils. There is a Bluetooth stereo with in/outdoor speakers, a 10’x8’ powered awning with LED accent lighting, and 2-20# propane tanks. The trailer has ample lighting options and a skylight with variable speed, bi-directional ceiling fan.
There is an over-tongue storage shelf for a generator or small recreational equipment storage, a powered tongue jack, a huge storage compartment with 2 exterior access doors, marine-grade carpet throughout, and camping essentials (sewer hoses/fixtures, 30A shore power cord, potable water hose, chocks, etc). The fluid tanks have good storage capacity (25gal fresh, 30gal gray, 30gal black). The doorway has a separate screen door and it has a powered retracting step and a “Lend-a-hand” safety bar. There are 4 scissor-type stabilizing jacks.
Ideally, you'll provide your own trailer brake system and trailer hitch with a 2 5/16 inch ball, but a hitch ball and bluetooth brake system (Curt brand “OneControl” braking/antisway system) can be provided for a $20 one time fee. The trailer tongue is approximately 20 in above the ground, the trailer is 18’3” length overall, with an exterior height of 9’4”, and interior height of 6’4” with an 8’ total exterior width.
The trailer has a gravel guard and has a high suspension that is mounted on 15' wheels and backcountry tires, therefore can travel on forest service roads for more rustic camping.
The dry weight of the trailer is just under 2000 pounds and with full tanks and gear will be close to 2800 so ideally, your car will have at least a 3500 pound towing capacity. This is a great trailer for a couple or family with small children who are eager to try out RV camping life as an upgrade from tent-camping.

Although I enjoyed the camping, hiking, and boating I did in scouts, I didn’t fall in love with wilderness travel until my best friend took me along on a canoeing expedition in Canada’s lake country. Since then I became a canoe/kayak instructor, biked New Zealand, worked & traveled around the world, started open water swimming, hiked extensively, and before I discovered the fun and comfort of RVing, did a lot of backpacking.
I moved from my birthplace in the Carolinas to the NW because of the unlimited outdoor opportunities and beautiful landscape. My wife and I vowed at our wedding to share adventures and she has been a phenomenal adventure partner for decades and loves the conveniences of RVing.
We have owned 3 trailers prior to this LIV FD17 and still frequently use our pop-up camper, and in early spring had a fantastic 3 weeks in the Southwest in the LIV.
It’s bluegrass festival season again and our trailers make the events even more enjoyable for playing guitar and jamming time.
