We rented this RV for a family trip through the western North Carolina mountains and had a really good experience overall. Yes, it’s a dated RV and it feels like it — the previous review that said it “drives like a big bus” is accurate. That said, the listing didn’t sugar-coat the age, so we went in with the right expectations. Once we accepted that, everything else worked well. The V10 handled the mountain climbs with no issues at all, and using towing mode for engine braking on the long descents worked exactly as it should. The coach felt solid and predictable the whole way. Generator, AC, fridge, slides, and the rest of the systems all performed as expected. The bunks were perfect for our two teenagers, and the layout gave us enough space for four people plus a dog. The owner has clearly kept up with maintenance and that showed. Communication was straightforward and the handoff was easy. If you’re looking for a newer, more refined coach, this isn’t it. But if you want a functional, roomy bunkhouse Class A that can handle real mountain driving and you understand you’re renting an 18-year-old motorhome, this one delivered. We had a great trip and would rent from this host again.

Mike is a great host and was very helpful along the entire process. The RV is on the older side, but everything worked as advertised except for the fridge which was running a little warm, but Mike will probably have that fixed by the time you rent it. It drives like an old bus and you should be comfortable with that! Lots of room with huge pop outs and a roomy bathroom and shower. I would definitely rent this RV again for our next trip.

The owner was great to work with, and the RV performed well. I would recommend to a friend or use again myself.
