*When you arrive at destination……
Park, set emergency brake and remove key.
Check level on fridge and level RV appropriately with jack and jack stands. Please make sure to place jack and jack stands on frame not shell of RV. Look for markings.
Plug in power. Switch refrigerator to AC mode gently.
Plug in water connections if necessary.
If you have full hook up make sure to connect sewer and clear connector.
If using awning, make sure that there are no obstructions in the way before extending awning. Parts are in the undercarriage.
Pull windshield privacy curtains so that RV will keep cool or warm.
Lock up EVERYTHING at night and make sure keys are INSIDE RV. Once inside lock with fob. Fob set on the alarm. Alarm will go off if RV is not unlocked with fob prior to opening the doors.
*When you depart the RV Park or Boon-docking Campsite…
Make sure awning pulled completely in and parts are stored away
Disconnect fresh water hose and filter, clear out any water from both, and cap off both ends of hose and filter. Store away in green container in undercarriage storage.
Put on disposable gloves. Empty black tank and gray tanks either at the site or at the dump station. Use clear connector when emptying sewer at site or at dump station. Empty black tank then gray tank. Close black tank and run toilet water for 5 minutes then empty black tank again and again until water runs clear. Stow away sewer hose in bumper and rinse sewer attachment and store in pink and clear container in undercarriage storage.
Unplug RV and store away. Screw on cap to plug and hose access hole in undercarriage.
Look under the RV and double check that jacks and wheel chocks removed and stored away
Lock ALL outside storage compartments
Clear counters and tables to prevent falling items while driving
Secure/latch all drawers, cabinets, fridge and restroom/shower doors
Make sure water pump is turned off. Water pump should be turned on only when using sink, shower, or toilet. REMEMBER TO TURN OFF after use. Running the pump dry can burn out the motor resulting in repair fees
If boon-docking, make sure generator and propane is turned off.
Tips and Tricks*Generator
To turn on, hold start for a few secs; to turn off, hold stop for a few secs
Generator runs on gas, if main gas tank is below ¼ tank then generator won’t turn on. Be mindful of the gas needed to get to next gas station when boon-docking.
If boon-docking, you must use generator for AC and hot water. Fridge will have to run on propane (this requires RV to be level) *** Do not turn anything on for at least 15 sec after turning on generator. It can blow the generator resulting in repair fees. And turn everything off before turning Generator off. ***
Do not go to extreme temperature camping without electricity, generator will not run long enough
*Water
Turn on electric water switch for hot water, leave on while hooked up
There is not a water filter so the water is not drinkable
If potable water is needed while driving or not hooked up, turn on water pump first
*General Info.
No GLASS anything, it will slide and break!
Please wear clean shoes in the RV, especially in muddy conditions
Leave main power switch on while driving. Driving charges the house battery.
No pets or smoking
Do not speed
Never go on top of the roof, it is flimsy
Plug into house using the adaptor while packing and switch Refrigerator to AC mode gently, then back to DC when driving.
*Awning
Before opening the awning, check for obstructions
Do not leave the awning out when not in use
Close awning when you go to sleep
Do not use the awning in high winds, it will blow off. It is $3,000 to replace. If you leave the RV, close the awning in case the weather changes unexpectedly while you are gone.
Make sure to pull in awning before driving
*Hook-ups
Use only 30amp electricity
Sewer hose is under driver step, screw off small cap to unlock. Pull sewer hose out to connect to clear connector. Snake braces are provided if there is a long stretch to the campsite sewer hook up. Make sure to use gloves!!!
After sewer hose is hooked up, keep the black and gray levers in. Only empty/pull levers if completely full or when leaving to clean out tanks. Black tank is already half full with fresh water to help break down sewage. A dry black tank will start to smell and sewage will dry and stick to the walls.
When using the toilet, always use RV grade toilet paper and do not flush anything but RV toilet paper. Use brown bags provided for everything else.
When leaving, drain into sewer and rinse well with water, then close the 2 valves and put the sewer lid back onto the RV
*TV
Buttons on TV are broken. Please use the remote for all functionality including DVD use. DVD player is on the side of the TV. Pull silver chain to release TV from wall.
Cable hookup available, but actual cable to hook up is not provided
