Da Big Kahuna | Go Anywhere Oahu Camper Van

First the good stuff, it was fantastic size. My husband is 6'2" and could stand and change in the van. We slept fantastically. He provided fans for the muggy evenings and with some very rainy days we stayed dry. Our host was ready to get a hold of and explained all the power systems to the van. We had no trouble charging our electronics and running the fans all night. The lighting for the evenings also. We had enough storage space for everything we brought. The water tank held enough water to wash up every night and the fridge was perfect. Now the not so good. It is an older van so a close up inspection reveals some rusted spots. He let us know in advance that it does leak water along the double doors and front window. Which was fun driving in the rain. It is a big van so take your time driving it. You aren't going anywhere in a hurry, but this is hawaii we are talking about, you shouldn't be driving fast anyway. All in all, it was a great trip. The van was wonderful to camp in just not drive in. Once you get to your locations, it's perfect.

Great experience and van. William was very responsive and worked with us on the pickup and drop off time and location since we flew in from CA. The bed was very comfy , there was enough room for my 6 foot husband to stand up and also sprawl out to sleep which was a huge plus for us. Using the power and water was super easy, and we really loved all the "donation" piles of random sunscreen, snacks, and random items left by other guests to share :) Overall will book again, thanks William!

Host was extremely easy to work with. We had to make last minute changes, which they worked very well with us on. We had everything we needed to enjoy our adventures

A few things! Firstly, Da Big Kahuna is such a lovely camper. It’s old, gives off the rustic, vintage vibe but functional and comfortable. The air/fan vent really helps pull in cold air from the outside + there’s 2 fans provided for you too! Will take a while to get used to driving the van but otherwise, it worked super well, 0 issues on & off the road. We covered almost the entirety of Oahu in 4 days and had to only pump petrol at the end. Secondly, William is such a great & responsive host. It was our first time in Hawaii, our first time driving & living in a campervan and it was our honeymoon! William was there to reply to all our enquiries and he was nice enough to walk us through the van before handing it over. He has a cohesive & meticulously prepared e-guide that has almost everything you’d need to know, ready for your perusal nearer to your booking date.
