2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter
This brand new Sprinter 144 4x4, 3500 diesel, with dually is a dream to escape the city. The hardest part is where to start with what this rig has available.Exterior:
-Need shade?: electronic awning on passenger side and separate a shade sail for rear or driver side.
-Need power to charge phones, and power other toys?: Solar panel and car engine are connected to the same battery bank, this means if the solar is not adequate the car engine will charge the battery bank
-Need air?: Air compressor outlets under front hood and on rear for filling anything from bike tires to beach/pool toys to inflating the vans tires to blowing out the inside of the van of dirt, dust, and pebbles from your adventure.
-Need to be able to get into the rig?: We have step-up “nerf bars” on each side to step into the lifted van with ease.
-Need lights?: We have a 50 inch LED light bar across the roof, turns the night into day off the front, also have a 30 inch bar built into the bully bar for the front, side awning has lights for camp light, and two 1 inch box lights to light the rear.
-Need to move bikes or toys?: We have a huge platform and ladder to the roof, extra bags/toys can easily be strapped down, Owl Van Engineering “Sherpa” panel on the back with a lockable storage box, 1up USA bike hitch mount for 2 bikes, on a WIlco USA Swing arm which opens 180 degrees. (We have 3 1ups USA van trays for 3 additional bikes inside the van if you need)
-Need a wench?: Hopefully not but we got one. Warn wench.
-Need a shower? We have a 14 gallon “road shower” which is heated from the sun and pressurized with a bike pump - hosing off after a hike, beach trip, etc outside is a breeze.Driving:
-4 wheel drive, 3500 diesel engine, dual rear wheels with BFG All season tires.
-Need a comfortable ride?: Agile off road - Ride improvement package installed, give the rig 2 inches of lift and provides a smoother ride over obstacles, this with the dual rear wheels makes this rig a very stable and sturdy ride. You will be taller than almost every other vehicle on the road, not quite as high as an 18 wheeler but you can see into them.
-Need range?: Auxiliary 28 gallon fuel tank installed, for a total of 50 gallons of diesel. This gives you somewhere in the 700-900 miles of range depending on conditions.Interior:
-Cruise Control, Pioneer sound deck and speaker upgrade with subwoofer, Apple Car Play, heat, air conditioner, lane keep assist, rear view camera, Sirius sat radio
-Need heat while you camp? We have a heater built into the back that keeps the cabin warm while you sleep without running the car engine
-Need to cook? Have a sink with hot water and cook plate, 14 gallons of hot water
-Need to sleep? This rig sleeps 4 adults comfortably, probably more kids. There are two sleeping areas, one is the pop top/masters penthouse, the other is a platform in the main body of the van. The pop top features screened windows that can be unzipped or covered to block light. Magnetic covers for all windows allows just about total darkness inside.
-Need to store stuff?: Moveable built in cabinets can store a ton of stuff, we can remove the bench seat if you don’t want to bring it on your trip, or you can remove the bench seat once you get to camp. Soft storage bags throughout. We also have L track through the interior which can be configured to strap down just about anything.
Interior lights throughout, USB chargers and outlets throughout.
-Rear shower access from exterior for hot water.
-Two interior teak tables for front and rear
-Front driver and passenger seats swivel to face interior when parked. Some of the rules:
1. While this is an off road vehicle, it can't tackle anything, you are fine to take it on dirt/gravel /fire roads that are all over National Parks, State Parks, and BLM land however please keep it on these types of pre established trails/roads and limit your risk of getting stuck or damaging the vehicle.
2. Tailgating for sporting events is fine, but festivals like Burning Man, Coachella, Stagecoach are off limits, sorry!
3. Pets are cool, our Labrador Loves the van. Just no exotic animals and please make sure they are house broken and keep them out of the pop top.4. Have fun!
