Our van is our vacation home. We spent a full year living and traveling in it. With the original van build being done by us, and having spent the time in it that we did, we realized it needed some changes. We have fully rehabbed the van, adding much more storage space, revving up our power system and adding a dinette/workspace for those who take work with them on the road. You'll find comfort in knowing you have the full capability of house power. You can run the 3000W (300 amp hour) solar and inverter system and feel like you are in your own home. We run everything from an airfryer (1000 watts) to charging a laptops, phones, all throughout the day. We've connected the batteries to charge from the vehicle alternator, so you never have to worry about not having enough power. Although there's no shower or toilet, we would use our vacation home for an opportunity for something different, the unexpected, and adventure. One of our favorite things about traveling in the van is that it is easy to drive, the size is just perfect enough to still be able to fit in a regular size parking, and how that allows us to be so close to trailheads and access some of the best camping sites. It makes those early morning adventures that much more exciting knowing you're right there. No smoking inside the van please.
12 feet of clearance at all times when driving through tunnels or under bridges.
Do not attempt to climb on top of the van from the ladder. The ladder is used in
case of emergency, if anything happens to solar panels. Interior roof can be damaged if you are climbing on top of the van, you’d be held liable.
NO 4 wheel drive.
Secure items before driving.
Monitor the amount of water you are draining into grey water tank, below kitchen sink.

We had a few issues with the van that made the van portion of our trip less than stellar. Most critically, the van lacked basic kitchen essentials. There were no plates, bowls, mugs, cups, or utensils. The stove also required a lighter to ignite, but no lighter was provided. While we happened to bring matches, discovering this 30 minutes into camping in a remote area could have been a serious issue if we had not been prepared. Additionally, the bed was only stocked with a single thin duvet. For camping in general, and especially for winter conditions, it would have been helpful to have one or two additional blankets. We brought extra ourselves, but this feels like something that could be more thoughtfully anticipated. A few smaller issues also came up: • The backup camera did not work • The sink worked intermittently • Two cabinets were broken and would not stay closed while driving. We used rubber bands to secure them On the positive side, pickup and drop-off were very easy and flexible. The van drove well, Chris and his wife were very responsive, and the bed itself was comfortable. With better stocking of basic essentials and some attention to these smaller details, this van could absolutely be a stellar trip option again.
