Le Chateau LET'S GO!

Our trip went well (no thanks to the owners) First the owners changed our pick up time the day of which was fine, we’re flexible. Upon arrival to pick up the owner was on her lunch break so she rushed through pick up and she went over the basics with us but didn’t really give us a chance to look around. She asked us what time we would be returning the RV when the trip was completed, we agreed on 12:30 and she mentioned if anything issues with return timing came up they would be flexible and just to let them know. Once our trip started we noticed RV was not cleaned. We were charged a $100 cleaning and sanitation fee but it was not cleaned. The sink had toothpaste in it, the toilet brush cleaner had TP and who knows what else stuck in it. The fridge had black mold in it and the stove was covered in food from previous renters. And to top it off the RV was infested with pincher bugs. On the day of the return we let the owners know we would be a half hour late and asked if that would be fine we received no response so we reached out to their contact Dave like asked. We were told that someone “should” be there to meet us but he was not in town so he was not sure. He stated he would let us know when he was able to reach who ever would meet us. He never did but we received a message inquiring about the eta for return. I replied stating that we could be there within the hour but hadn’t received a response from there so weren’t sure if they would be there to exchange. When I arrived to drop it off he told us he would be charging for a late pick up even though they were not responsive when we tried to communicate with them. Dave was there to greet us upon drop off. He argued with us stating he told us to just come and drop it off even though no one responded stating they would be there. I mentioned the state of the RV And he argued with us regarding the cleanliness staring “it was clean” and when i tried to show him photos he said “that’s your fault you should’ve pointed it out at pick up” Overall the RV needs better cleanliness maintenance and better people managing. They have since charged me $400 additional dollars of my security deposit stating i violated policies. They are scam artists and full of shit.

Great RV perfect for our trip. Will rent again for sure. Charles is a great host.
