5.0Driving “Westy” was a joy and an honor! She has been beautifully maintained and draws smiles and appreciation from all who see her. Yes, Westy is 48 years old and does not offer modern technology like automatic transmission, power steering and anti-lock brakes, but if you’re willing to take a trip down memory lane and enjoy the journey, this is a beautiful choice. The owners were very accommodating and worked with us to make sure we had all the camping accessories we needed and nothing we wouldn’t use. We spent 6 days living in Westy and could have easily done another week (or year). We are seasoned VW Bus owners, and appreciate the attention to detail and the extra amenities offered with this Bus. For example, Westy has a heater, which is rare in a Bus – we did not need to use it, but we were grateful to have the option. The engine, while not high-powered, is impeccable, and little touches such as how the propane bottles were retrofitted to be conveniently replaceable speak to the engineering genius of owner Cyrille. The new paint job is beautiful! We were struck by the personal touches that make you keenly aware how much this family loves Westy and their many amazing experiences traveling with her. This is a beautifully restored antique vehicle, not a “party bus.” If you rent it, please remember you are driving a piece of history and treat this Bus with respect. The family that owns it are lovely people and care about every inch of this Bus, inside and out. To our fellow Westfalia aficionados, we cannot recommend highly enough this gorgeous, sweet ’76 Westy as your moveable home to enjoy on your traveling adventures. We loved our experience and hope you do too!

5.0We rent this mythical VW campervan for memorial weekend to discover Long Island with our daughter. It was just a perfect way to do so : great experience with the car, easy to drive when you just let it go, incredibly comfy and convenient inside... "Westie" is a great way to start conversation anywhere you go as well :) people went crazy when they saw us in this campervan !! And for any questions, Cyrille answered really fast. He also found an infant car seat just in time for us. To sum up, just a perfect weekend and we can't wait for the next one!
