-Drive no more than 300 miles per day and keep your speed under 75 mph.
-The transmission is a bit clingy when cold, so we recommend warming up the engine for 10 minutes in the morning.
-No off-roading, climbing on the roof, or smoking inside the van.
-Pets are welcome, but you're responsible for any damage or cleaning.
-No festivals.
-Use premium gas, and remember to refill the gas tank before returning. No need to refill the propane tank.
-For water tank filling, grey water emptying. Should you need to fill the water tank: pour water with a hose into the water tank in the back. Should you need to empty the grey sink water tank - easily emptied from the side of the van.
-There is an electrical hookup. The auxiliary battery is charged while driving, and if you want, you can plug it from the van into a regular electrical hook-up.
-You're responsible for any tickets, tolls, or towing fees.
-For mechanical issues, contact roadside assistance and notify us immediately—do not attempt repairs yourself.
-Maintain tire pressure and coolant levels and handle appliances with care. The renter will be responsible for the cost of negligence resulting in mechanical damage or tire damage.
-Out-of-pocket expenses for repairs required and not covered by insurance or roadside assistance will be reimbursed by the owner upon return of the vehicle as long as the owner is made aware prior to such repairs and receipts are provided.

5We had a smooth ride and amazing road trip to Yosemite with this classic van! It was reliable, ran well and made for the best camping experience! With the van, we were able to pick up and move with ease to our next destination and even got a night of dispersed camping in near some beautiful hot springs. I would most definitely rent Filipa again!

5Filipa took my kids (7 & 11) and I on a great adventure up the North Coast and into the Redwoods. We stayed the first night at the Petaluma KOA, which had lots of activities for the kids, and gave us a chance to learn all about Filipa's features. Next we headed out to the Sonoma Coast along the Russian River to Salt Point, where we camped off the grid for two nights. Filipa had plenty of power for the hills, and felt small enough to drive comfortably on the windy roads. We opted to rent the solar system, and it worked great to keep everything running, and our food cold. We then headed toward Mendocino, for a quick visit with a friend, and then up and over the mountains and into the Giant Redwoods near Benbow on the Eel River. We were especially glad to have Filipa's AC in this area, as it was really hot. We had power at our site and plugged in and were able to stay cool inside and play games while the mosquitos were out. It was really nice to be able to stay in tent camping sites, or in RV sites with power. We're looking forward to another adventure with Filipa. The only advice I'd offer is to double-check what you bring versus what's included, and travel light. Filipa is so well outfitted that you don't really need to bring much! Many thanks to Luis!
