Meet Daisy Mae, our econoline adventure van. She's a glamping dream rig that is just as happy when she's at a formal campsite, boondocking in dispersed campsites, or as a discrete urban camper van. She's roomier and more comfortable than our other rental, Marge the Monty, which makes her ideal for longer trips where you want more of the amenities and comforts of home. She comes fully equipped with a queen-sized memory foam mattress, linens, and duvet. There are sun shades that you can put on all of the windows which gives you more privacy, keeps the van cool in the morning, and blocks out the early morning sun. For Fall and Winter camping, she comes with a buddy heater. Some of our best nights sleep have been in Daisy Mae.For our kitchen set up, we hook it up! We want you to be happy, comfortable, and well fed on your trip, so if you request the free add-ons, you'll get a two burner Coleman stove, cookware and utensils, spices and teas, a french press, two coolers, a sink and dishwashing kit, and plenty of storage space for dry goods. The only thing we charge for is the propane ($10/bottle, based on usage). Included in the rental is a refrigerator -- camping with a fridge is an absolute game-changer!For lounging, we have a two camp chairs, a camp table, crazy creek chair, and a hammock. The van also has a captain's seat for the passenger seat which allows you to flip the chair around once you get to your campsite at night. Basically you have options-- hang out in the van and spread out, or chill outside, under the stars at night.Take a look at our add-ons for some other stuff you can include, like the 26 gallon outdoor shower, our S'mores kit, and pool noodles for lake-side adventures, or a motorcycle hitch carrier and ramp if you want the full moto van experience.Qué incluye- 2 folding camp chairs & 1 crazy creek chair, hammock

RecomendacionesDaisy Mae has been all around Southern California on short trips and long trips and everything in between. She's been to Morro Bay, Big Bear, Joshua Tree, Anza Borrego. She's also traveled a bit further, to Colorado, and back through Taos, Santa Fe, and Arizona. One summer she went on an epic 10 day trip to Park City and back. On that trip, she stayed in dispersed BLM land outside of Bryce National Park, visited Capitol Reef (a favorite!), traveled through Grand Staircase Escalante, and finished with a whirlwind tour through Zion National Park. One of her last big trips was through the Sierra Mountains -- she traveled up to Mono Hot Springs and Yosemite. She's been on quite a few motorcycle adventures too -- off to the California backcountry discovery route, up to Rowher Flats, Ocotillo Wells, and Hungry Valley. She hasn't been to Babes Ride Out or Babes in the Dirt yet, but she's itching to go.If you have any questions about where to venture with Daisy Mae, just reach out. Adam's spent time leading trips through Zion, Bryce, Joshua Tree, Death Valley, and Yosemite national parks and we love talking shop about slow roll adventures with our rigs!Otros detalles importantesWe have a couple rules that we ask you to read through prior to booking:- We don't allow smoking, drugs, or unauthorized pets inside vehicle.
- We don't allow cooking inside the vehicle -- please use the camp table that we provide to set up your cook station.

Alia and Adam here! We've made Southern California our home since 2013 and love exploring the Southwest and beyond in our adventure rigs. We started Slow Roll Adventures as a way to share the love. We have two rentals available -- Daisy Mae, our camper van, and our latest -- Marge the trusted Montero. Named after our old lady foster pups, these rigs may be a bit old, but they're still quite fierce.

My husband, my dog, and I had a fantastic time camping! Alia and Adam were great! Super friendly and super helpful. They filled the portable shower for us, and got the fridge all ready! They even left a couple yummy mocha's in the fridge, which we guzzled down after a super fun hike in the forest. The instructions on operation of all the appliances (shower, fridge, stove, lights, vehicle) were very clear! The bed is super comfy, and we passed out after long hiking days with no issue. Very clean and easy to operate vehicle.

Alia and Adam were amazing! They explained everything about the van and went over any concerns that we had. Very communicative the whole trip and will definitely use again in the future!

We cannot say enough good things about Adam and Alia, their van was phenomenal and painstakingly made to have every comfort you could possibly want on a road trip. We expected to make a huge supply run before leaving LA, but they quite literally thought of everything. Adam was super thorough with his walk-around, explaining how and where to find everything, and Alia even made a very detailed Welcome Manual for any FAQs. Highly recommend adding on the refrigerator-absolutely game changing not having to change out ice constantly and much more convenient. Bed was super comfy and the twinkly lights make it even more magical! Had a blast on the trip + couldn’t recommend Daisy Mae more!!

Q.What airport is closest to your location?
A.
We're closest to Burbank airport (20 minutes, depending on traffic). LAX is about 25 miles away (30 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic). You can easily get a ride-share from either airport, or you could take the flyaway from LAX to Union Station in Downtown LA and then catch a ride share to our location.
Q.Are there any special tricks and tips that would help with operating the RV easily?
A.
Lots! We'll go over some of the tips and tricks when you arrive for the pre-departure walk-through. This usually takes 30-45 minutes, depending on which features you plan to use in the van. We'll also forward you our Daisy Mae Van Manual, aka, the Vanual, which gives step-by-step directions on how to use some of the more complicated features of the van.
Q.Can I leave my car at your house while I'm on my trip?
A.
The short answer is that, yes, you may-- there's plenty of street parking here and it's safe. The longer answer is that LA has a strict 72 hour rule where you have to move a vehicle every 3 days. In addition, in South Pasadena you have to buy a street parking pass every three days. The parking permit is $2.60/day. We're more than happy to move your vehicle for you every 3 days and keep adding the parking pass as needed. Just get in touch to ask about it :)
Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
When we don't have back-to-back rentals, we offer a flexible pick up & return policy, where we consider a rental period to be 24 hours: ie, your departure time is the time we expect the van to be returned on your return date.
If you still need more time, we have two add-ons for more flexibility: 1) an authorized 5 hour late return option for $50, and 2) an authorized 5-24 hour late return for an extra $125.
Please note, all late returns must be authorized to avoid incurring extra fees.
