Note, camping is extra and not included with parking passRecomendaciones• It's easy to assume that an RV is like a house on wheels, however, it's better to think of it as a vehicle that you can sleep in. Things like AC, wifi, and appliances all function slightly differently than at home and guests should consider if RV rental is right for them before booking. A better way to look at it is that it's more comfortable than a tent and more rustic than a home rental.

Responsive, helpful, and flexible hosts
Owners Becca and Taylor provide excellent communication, thorough orientation, and flexibility for pickup/drop-off. They respond quickly, follow up, and are helpful throughout the process.
Straightforward driving, even for novices
Guests report the RV is easy to drive, even for first-timers, and has comfortable beds and ample space. However, one renter experienced non-functional power outlets and fresh water, and outdated instructional videos.

2.0Power outlets in the RV on the drivers side and both external outlets really never worked. I changed the fuses, and it came back for a short period. The kicker is that nothing was plugged in beside the ice maker I rented. So I skipped using the ice maker, but was hoping to use an exterior outlet for lighting at night. Finally just ran a string of lights from inside so we could see. Hosts were responsive, but I wasn’t going to bother them that things were not working because if you can’t figure out a camper you shouldn’t be out there, especially when required to watch the videos before pick up. Nothing I wasn’t familiar with. The black water and gray water tanks showed full from the time we picked it up, and hosts responded they had been emptied. The kicker is I filled the fresh water tank myself (I have filled boats, airplanes, and RV’s for years) and still could only get a spurt of water. I changed the settings on the valves and tried to prime with the water pump many times. We weren’t in an area with a water hookup, so ended up “glamping” without running water, just used from 5 gallon water cooler type bottles we had brought for drinking. I purchased a broom since there was only a dust broom, and we know bending over to sweep 20 times a day isn’t ideal. (Sorry I like things clean). Maybe since it was early in the season it had not been de-winterized? The beds are comfy, and there were pillows even though the listing said not provided. If I had known this, it would have saved on checking an extra bag from Key West & back. Having bunks was important for me, but since the amenities were not working, my kids stayed in a tent instead. No issues with the generator. A/C was more efficient to just turn the engine on and run from the front. Slide outs & awning were operable. There is no oven but a propane stove top. Nice touch to have an indoor mat and chairs included. Fridge worked fine. For the record, I had the RV perfectly leveled the entire time. Ease of pickup and return was a time saver, but I would not rent this RV again. The instructional Videos were either from another rental that is similar, or outdated because they were not the same as the YouTube showed. For the price, not worth it because when you rent you expect a toilet, shower, and sink water. Most of my time was spent figuring out how I could fix the situation instead of spending time with my family. My daughter did host a little Mother’s Day brunch, but used her own kitchen on her camper. Those are the only photos I have. 🤷♀️

5.0Becca and Taylor are AMAZING! Scout is super comfy, and way easier to use than I thought an RV would be. I couldn't be happier with our trip.

5.0Our family of 5 had such a fantastic long weekend traveling to South Dakota in Scout! Memories will last forever and we plan to book again! Do not wait to rent. Everything is as pictured or better. Beds were extremely comfortable. The driving was straightforward, even for us who had not driven a camper before. Orientation was thorough. Owners have thought of everything, even a few games and activities for the kids! We reached out with one minor question when we were away and they were super quick to respond and even followed up to be sure it was all clear and going well. Really appreciated flexibility with drop off and pick up. This is the way to go if you’re craving the RV experience without the expense and responsibility of owning and maintaining your own rig. Looking forward to our next trip.

5.0We had an excellent experience renting Scout! The communication and customer service was excellent. The RV is very comfortable. We traveled with two of our three children due to a school trip for our third, and had more than enough space, but would have been comfortable for all 5 of us, too. The bed in the “primary suite” is fantastic and we slept great! My husband did all the driving and technical work (hook ups, leveling), but reported it was relatively straightforward. Our itinerary was mostly RV-friendly but we moved daily and when we rent again, we’ll probably do less distance driving and more local exploring.
