2012 Nissan Other
Make no compromises this summer in this rugged Nissan NV 2500! This van has been the home, office, and cabin-on-wheels for my partner and me since 2021. We love it dearly despite it’s quirks, and our goal is that you have as much fun in is it as we do. You won't have to stress about giving it some battle scars along the way either, since they are already included free of charge :)The van was built with everything from living in the woods to watching movies in bed in mind. The kitchen consists of a big 40l fridge, 14 gallons of fresh water, 400w of solar, and plenty of cooking paraphernalia so you can whip up almost anything while on the road. The 30" skylight offers plenty of natural light and a beautiful view of the sky at night. Throw open the back doors and lie down in bed, grab a book off the bookshelf, and allow yourself to relax in the comfort of your home on wheels for as long as you'd like.Campsite lacking shade or seating? Unfurl the awning, set up the chair, or even lie down in the hammock. It practically doubles your amount of space!Lastly, this van has all the essentials such as:
– Lots of storage, including hooks for helmets and hiking poles, bungee nets for soft goods and shoes, and plenty of wire baskets for miscellaneous items
– Passenger’s seat has a built-in footrest, swivels 180º, and reclines
– Built-in awning and camping chairs for enjoying the outside in comfort
– Interior standing height of ~6', plus a 68" x 54" memory foam bed
– Bluetooth aux in

It will help you find the best free campsites, showers, laundromats, and more. Then load up your bikes and check out central Utah world-class riding! The mountains are only 1 hour away and offer hundreds of miles of singletrack, gravel roads, and stunning climbs/descents. There are hot springs, waterfalls, and mountains along the way, so be sure to plan for some stops to fully take in everything Utah has to offer!Otros detalles importantesThis is an older vehicle! It's a 2012 closing in on 280,000 miles. All repairs/maintenance is completed and up to date to make sure it is reliable and road-worthy for your adventure! It does have a windshield crack and various battle scars inside and out from living a long, hard life. However, this means that you can stop worrying about how it looks and start having fun with it right away!Nissan did a great job of designing an exceptional cargo van. The NV shares many parts with their full-size Titan XD truck, and sports large LT265/70/17 all-terrain tires, body-on-frame construction, and 8" of ground clearance. It's certainly capable of going up and down rough dirt/forest roads, but keep in mind it weighs over 4 tons, is RWD only, and has open differentials. Use your best judgement and know your limits! Rough roads means an even rougher ride, and I strongly discourage attempting sandy terrain, deep ruts, or anything marked as a 4x4 road.Pets are welcome! Please note there are dangerous spots a pet can crawl into though, like the battery box. Please refrain from smoking any substance inside the van. A $300 cleaning fee will be charged to remove any smoke residue/odor.The height of the van is about 10' and the length is 24' with the bike rack. Sadly, that means no drive thrus and avoid low-hanging branches! The van uses regular 87 octane gas (NO DIESEL). Gas mileage averages around 13-14 mpg with a light foot (55-60 mph freeway speeds) and 11-12 mpg without. Please refill the fuel tank before returning the van.If you plan on attending any festivals or large gatherings, they should be discussed with us beforehand.

Jason was an excellent and friendly host. He's thought of everything when it comes to stocking the van with things for an adventure. We took the van to Yellowstone for the weekend and parked it to watch a herd of bison. The van had everything I needed to make a delicious breakfast and coffee for two while we admired the giant creatures and valleys. The projector in the van provided such a cozy vibe at night. We cracked beers (ice cold in his fridge) and used the party lights to read and watch movies. We used his little chairs and cards to play and chat around the fire. The van is so charming and he's put so much thought into making it a convenient and utilitarian place to call home. He wrote up a manual with all the needed info and has youtube videos you can watch to learn everything about the van. Jason also spent extra time when we met to show me certain features. His van also has a little sun roof you can slide over the bed. This was so fun to see the stars at night or to be woken up by a little bit of sun in the morning. The van really made our trip so convenient. We got to try multiple campsites and see everything without wasting anytime packing up! I would happily book it again!

We had the best trip with Jasons Van. It gave us the coziest home while on the road and I can really recommend it.

This van was the perfect introduction to camping and driving a camper van. It felt homely and safe and it is very well thought through. Nifty features like the projector screen, but also the magnets attached to the ceiling to hold cabinet doors open while you cook/work. Both the van and the contact with Jason made everything very easy and enjoyable.

I went on a long WFO (work from outdoors) trip in Jayson's van and absolutely loved it! The WiFi was great for video calls. I brought my road bike which sat securely on the bike rack. The kitchen was well equipped - nothing better than cracking open a beer, cooking a steak on the stove, kicking back in the forest.

Q.Can I take this van to Burning Man?
A.
Sadly no, as much as I love Burning Man, this van is not a good fit for it. The interior gets very dusty as it is, and the playa dust will wreck havoc on the van.
Outdoorsy also does not insure renters for Burning Man, so until I can come up with a better system for addressing Burning Man usage, it is out of the question.
