"The Hummingbird" is a work of art, featuring handcrafted birch cabinets, red oak trim boards and butcher block countertops. She sleeps up to 5 guests (4 Adults & 1 child) and is perfect for weekend getaways, cross-country adventures, even long-term Van Living. There are a total of 6 belted seats.The Hummingbird was designed for fun with kids in mind. Just pull up to any beautiful vista, open the wide doors and enjoy the view from the cosy memory foam couch / beds. Hanging out in the back is super chill. The rear seats are normally found in the third row of a Volkswagen Tiguan, so they are guaranteed to be comfortable for the long haul.All side windows have integrated blackout shades, tailgate windows can be covered, and a driver curtain creates a space that is private and virtually soundproof. This type of vehicle is known as a "Stealth Van," because it can be parked overnight almost anywhere without having to pay for a campsite. Over 400 sq ft of Thinsulate Insulation was used in the construction of the walls and ceiling, providing optimum protection against heat, cold and moisture, and fantastic sound dampening qualities that lead to increased privacy and a quiet ride.Add-Ons are available for a one time charge regardless of duration of trip. John and Jen made this experience 5⭐️ they are excellent hosts. This was our first time renting an RV on Outdoorsy. Anything that came up along the way, John & Jen were so amazing at answering questions we had and helping us out along the way. It was cool to rent out a custom build, our family enjoyed this Woody Campervan. With that said, keep in mind a heavy wooden custom build will cost dearly in gas 😅 prepare yourself for that added cost! But it is a solid reliable vehicle and we never felt concerned that the hummingbird wasn’t going to pull her full weight. :) John and Jen were also flexible with us on the return time and so gracious with our late arrival with unexpected traffic. I would have expected a company to charge an extra day for us showing up late. The Hummingbird didn’t seem to enjoy being in the south in the summer, so the next time I rent in summer, I will keep her somewhere local to the northeast :-) we also learned when we returned that we brought her on her furthest trip! I’ve included some photos of her camping in Tennessee and Virginia. She also enjoyed the Great Smoky Mt National Park

We rented the van for a 4 day girls trip to Maine. All of the storage was perfect for us to keep our things away while we drove during the day. And having the sink with drinkable water attached was clutch for us. We didn't have to buy a bunch of bottled water. We also loved the lighting system with all of the USBs attached to keep things fully charged. John and Jen are very responsive and easy to work with.

The hummingbird is just what we needed. Big enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers but small enough to get around. The owners were very accommodating and had all the extras we needed. We would definitely book again!

These items must be put safely away even for short trips - No driving over 65 MPH (Seriously, this is a heavy rig and it is not safe to drive at speeds higher than the posted limit. Windsheer can be an issue as in any vehicle, but the high top makes the vehicle more susceptible to windsheer. - No abusing the engine. No punching the fuel except when it is done for safety reasons. Please take it slow. Your passengers will appreciate it. The engine runs like new with only 50k miles, but we need it to last for the long run, so please monitor engine temperature and all dashboard lights as if it were your own. , high speed braking, ) - No wet suits on the seats please use a towel or change - No sleeping in the upper bunks while vehicle is in motion. Renters who allow sleeping passengers to occupy bunk beds assume all risk, including loss of life and bodily injury. Please take all turns, curves and lane changes slowly and purposefully to help keep passengers from being thrown off their feet and to keep potential projectiles in the cabinets where they belong - No open fires inside the vehicle, this includes any and all devices such as candles, incense, heaters, torches, water pipes, and anything else that requires open flame - No opening doors while vehicle is in motion! It is the responsibility of the renter to close and lock the large cabin door before the vehicle moves. If this or any door is opened while the vehicle is in motion the door will catch the wind and all bets are off for your safety and the safety of your passengers. If any door is damaged because it was left open or was opened during transit, you will lose your entire security deposit and we will have to file an insurance claim to replace the door and whatever else is damaged. - If renter b

We love renting our van to cool people and families like yours. We built "The Hummingbird" with the intention of sharing it because we believe nature heals and travel brings us closer together. We are very flexible and willing to do whatever it takes to make your experience awesome. We have a lot of gear we rent for super cheap. We just need to know if you want a stove, propane, sleeping bags, firepit or any of the other sweet add-ons we offer for next to nothing - we just need to know what gear to have ready for you when you arrive.
