We are an adventurous couple that loves to travel and hike. We take numerous trips to Mexico each year and we recently decided that we wanted to explore more of the state and national parks around us. We live about 60 miles from Theodore Roosevelt National Park(north unit). We love to fish and be outdoors. Lake Sakakawea offers great fishing and camping opportunities and we've definitely taken advantage of that! We recently went to Yellowstone National Park where we saw numerous bison, bear, elk, among other wildlife. The geysers are great (minus the odor :) It was a great trip that we highly recommend!
